UBC Swimming has built one of the greatest dynasties in Canadian university sports.The Thunderbirds have won 48 U SPORTS national championships, nearly 45% of every swimming title ever awarded. Since 2000, they’ve captured 73.1% of all national banners, while the women’s program alone owns 56.5% of every national championship in U SPORTS history.This decade alone, UBC has won 19 of the 26 available men’s national championships and 19 of the 26 available women’s national championships.For comparison, U of T and Calgary combined have won 48.6% of all national swimming titles. UBC alone has won 44.9%.Is this the greatest dynasty in U SPORTS history? 🏊🟡🦅🇨🇦 by @ubcmswim

Congratulations to one of two Du Vivier Team of the Year winners, Men’s Swimming!Securing a second straight Canada West title, the Thunderbirds’ Men’s Swimming team managed to out-do themselves at the 2026 U SPORTS National Championship where they not only took home a second straight banner, but did so by a margin of more than 700 points.Breaking nine U SPORTS records with 12 gold medals and 29 total medals in 19 events, it was one of the most dominant championship performances in U SPORTS history. by @ubcmswim

ICYMI: our swim teams captured both U SPORTS championship banners in dominant showings inside the Markham Pan Am Centre this past weekend! 🏆🏆Along the way, UBC athletes also captured several individual awards, including Kayla Sanchez who was named the Most Outstanding Women's Swimmer of the Year for the second straight season after winning seven gold medals! 🥇As well, Aiden Kirk and Ruby Kehler were named the two U SPORTS Rookies of the Year, and Derrick Schoof won both Men's and Women's Coach of the Year, his sixth and seventh U SPORTS coaching awards all-time! 🤩Congratulations to all of our Thunderbird swimmers on another great season 👏👏👏 #GoBirdsGo by @ubcmswim
