DOUBLE SILVER! 👏

Join us in congratulating our men’s and women’s golf teams for both finishing second at the 2026 Canada West Golf Championships!

The Heat women’s team finished 16 strokes ahead of the third-place Victoria Vikes, while the men’s side also placed above the Vikes, ending four strokes in front.

This marks the fourth straight year that both teams have medalled at this event.

Congratulations to W🥎 Avery Lamb and M⛳️ Brayden Card for being named this week’s Athletes of the Week powered by Meal Prep For You!!

Avery Lamb wasted little time making an impact in her first WCSA Championship appearance, driving in the game-winning run with a walk-off single in the extra eighth inning of UBCO’s 4-3 victory over the Regina Cougars. The Kelowna product finished 2-for-2 with two RBI’s, as the Heat claimed a silver medal, the program’s sixth consecutive conference medal.

Leading the UBCO men’s golf team to a third-place finish at the 2026 Western Washington Invitational, Brayden Card shot six-under-par 138 leaving him just outside the individual podium in fourth place. The first-year golfer opened up the two-day event with a tournament-best six-under-par-66 and followed that up with an even-par 72 in Round 2.
