When filming interviews, it's all too easy to get stuck in a repetitive loop of the same shot of a talking-head. An easy way to keep your video engaging is to record interviews with two angles. Cutting between two cameras gives editors the ability to hide jump-cuts and avoid boring, long stretches of talking with no cuts.

We loved the look of @universityofbc‘s Summer Playlist post, so we borrowed the format… but with a few changes to make it feel more like us.

With its beautiful lines, warm materials and open spaces, there was no shortage of interesting angles to photograph at #UBC's new Gateway Health building.

The building is now home to the School of Nursing, School of Kinesiology, Student Health and Wellbeing, and more.

Check it out when you have the chance!

A little behind-the-scenes of our editorial team at #UBC Studios hard at work.

Great videos do not come together by accident. They take collaboration, thoughtful storytelling, and a clear understanding of who the message is for.

Our experienced team works closely with you throughout the process, helping shape ideas into stories that are clear, engaging, and made to connect with your audience.

Health and Wellbeing has been a meaningful thread through much of our recent work.

We’ve had the opportunity to partner with units across #UBC on visual design projects centered on mental health and wellbeing, shaping resources around student mental health, workplace wellness, community resilience, and more.

These projects remind us why the work matters. When the subject is this close to people's lives, design has a real role to play in making information feel accessible, human, and worth engaging with.

Swipe through some of the projects we've been part of — and reach out if you're building something meaningful.

We've had the great pleasure to photograph some amazing events across #UBC's campus this past year! It's always rewarding to capture the moments that mean the most, be they big or small. We know that every event takes a lot of dedication and hard work to make happen – our job is to make sure that it's not forgotten.

Here's a couple eye-catching frames from some of those recent events.

Cherry blossom season at #UBC is always a good reminder to slow down a bit, especially as it happens during the busy finals season!

We’ve been out shooting across campus this week, and it’s been great seeing how the #UBC community is enjoying it. Friends catching up under the trees, students stopping for a few photo - a lot of these small moments!

Sharing a few frames we liked.
