Since 2010 when Überroth and I, Blastphümii, first started Überchriist, we’ve never had any promo pics, we’ve only released music and played shows. With only ever one full length back in our early days, we think it’s time for another. For the last handful of years we’ve added members Voidseer and Namirrah, written a whole new album and even think it’s time to promote this properly, hence the new band photo. In March 2026 we have time scheduled to record our 2nd full length with @thomas__martino !
We are very excited to begin this journey and we’ll post updates along the way.
2026 is going to be a tough year, a year to fight, a year to bring down the fascists and a year to bring in a new metal soundtrack to fight them to. 🤘⚔️ #metal #blackmetal #fucknazis #2026 #fightthepower taken in Atlanta, GA by @uberchriist

ÜBERCHRIIST — SERPENT'S SHROUD. New single and video out today, the second from Dæmonic Apotheosis.

Where Anti-Phoenix Descent drew on maritime themes to evoke a journey into the abyss, Serpent's Shroud turns inward, toward the abyss of the self.

Tears, terror, and the last threads of the mortal coil fall away, and the serpent, timeless symbol of renewal, rebirth, and immortality, extends the gift of the shroud of transformation. To be wrapped in it is not to be buried but to be made anew.

Built on relentless blast beats and melodic Swedish-style riffing, the track carries the self downward, layer by layer, into the voids beneath the darkest lands. What is found there is not the end of the descent but its purpose, where transcendence is but the dissolution of the boundary between human and something else.

⸻

First coming together in embryonic form in 2010 by two local musicians whose human names are long forgotten, Überchriist is an Atlanta black metal band formed with the purpose of transcending the boundaries between human, demon and god. Now a four piece, the group's extensive development over the years culminates in the opus Dæmonic Apotheosis.

The album arrives in one week, September 25th, via Deanwell Global Music.
