SEPTEMBER SPOTLIGHT: PARKER ROSS
⸻———————————
This month, we’re proud to spotlight Parker Ross as our September PIKE of the Month. Parker is a third-year student from Wadsworth, Ohio, and a graduate of Wadsworth High School. He joined Pi Kappa Alpha in the fall of 2024 as part of the Beta 36 pledge class and has been a standout Brother ever since.

Parker is an Operations Management & Information Systems double major with a minor in Professional Sales. He has worked with Cintas in Global Supply Chain Sourcing and with National Design Mart in Sales Operations.

On campus, Parker is a part of Lindner Ambassadors and serves as the Executive Vice President, Treasurer for the Medical Sales Club, and a Roar Tour Guide, while also being a member of Sales Leadership Club, Men for Mental Health, and Cincy Snow Cats. He is currently PIKE’s External Vice President and served as our Scholarship Chair last year.

When asked about what brought him to UC, Parker replied:

“I chose to attend UC because I wanted to find an education that will set me up for the future. I wanted to be in a thriving environment that both pushed me and helped me. From co-ops to classes to the city.”

When asked about his favorite PIKE memory so far, Parker recalled:

“My favorite memory would have to be either Mom Prom or getting to spend time in Nashville with some of my best friends. Mom Prom was such a fun experience because I got to make memories with my brothers and share the night with my mom. Nashville was another favorite because I got to explore a new city with some of the people I’m closest with.”

When asked what his advice to first-year students is, Parker said:

“My advice would be to get involved as much as you can and take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way. Surround yourself with people who challenge you, inspire you, and know more than you do, because there is always something you can learn from the people around you.”

Parker’s drive, character, and commitment to lifting others set the standard of excellence. We’re grateful to have a Brother like him representing PIKE! by @uc_pikes

In partnership with @weplayfor3 , the Beta Nu Chapter of Beta Theta Pi is proud to partner with @uc_pikes to raise money for carbon monoxide awareness and the Ally Sidloski Memorial Scholarship Fund. 🎗️

We Play For 3 was founded in memory of Ally Sidloski, a former UC women's soccer player who passed away from carbon monoxide poisoning at just 21 years old. Their mission is to save lives through CO awareness while celebrating Ally's beautiful life through a memorial scholarship fund that supports student-athletes every year.

Venmo $1 to @WEPLAYFOR3 for an "AS3" bracelet; comment "Beta" or "Pike" with the chapter you're representing! by @uc_pikes

Honoring the heroes of 9/11 with every step.
Today, we climbed over 2000 stairs at Nippert Stadium to pay tribute to the brave men and women who sacrificed everything. Each stair was a reminder of their courage and sacrifice. We will never forget🇺🇸 by @uc_pikes

AUGUST SPOTLIGHT: Cal Corell
———————————
This month, we’re proud to spotlight Cal Corell as our August PIKE of the Month. Cal is a third year from Wadsworth, OH, and a graduate of Wadsworth High School. He joined Pi Kappa Alpha in fall 2024 as part of the Beta 36 pledge class and has been a standout Brother ever since.

Cal is an Accounting major, and during the spring semester of the 25-26 school year he completed an Internship with Great American Insurance. For the upcoming spring semester, Cal will intern with MMB Advisors and afterward for the summer with Ernst & Young.

At PIKE, Cal has served as the Community Service Chair and for the Garnet Dot Foundation. He currently holds an executive position as the Treasurer. He also serves as a member for Men’s for Mental Health Club and the Accounting Club. He is also a volunteer for the Boys and Girls Club.

When asked about his favorite PIKE memory so far, Cal recalled:
“My favorite memory in PIKE so far is going to Nashville my Sophmore year. Being on the bus for 4 plus hours with all your best friends is a lot more fun than it sounds. Then getting to explore the city and listen to great live music. It wasn’t the city that made the trip so memorable, it was the people I was with.”

When asked what his advice to first-year students is, Cal said, “College is such a unique experience and looks different for everyone. You will never have more time in your life than in college. Don’t waste it. Secondly, stay in touch with your friends and family. One of my favorite things to do is call friends from Highschool. It’s very easy to get caught up in your own life, but it’s important to be there for the people you care about. Lastly, be curious. College is a time to learn and grow. Try out that club or go to that rush event. You never know what opportunities will present themselves.”

Cal drive, character, and commitment to lifting others set the standard of excellence. Grateful to have a brother like him representing PIKE,
