On July 17, 2026, our family experienced the unimaginable. My 3-year-old niece, Yumari, was tragically hit by a truck and passed away. She was the sweetest little girl who brought so much love and joy to everyone around her.

She was literally like my own child. These kids changed my life, and all I ever wanted was the best for them. Yumari had the purest heart and the brightest smile. It’s rare to come across a child who brings so much joy to everyone around them, but that was her. She could light up any room just by being herself.

I’m going to miss her more than words can ever express. She was deeply loved, and I’ll carry her memory with me forever.

No child deserves this, and no parent should have to bury their baby. I’m creating this GoFundMe to help my sister with Yumari’s funeral and memorial expenses during this heartbreaking time.

I know we didn’t get the results we wanted, but this team was so special not just to me, but to our entire club program. This was our first year on the Bell competing at the advanced level, and it was an incredible experience. From the very beginning, our goal was simple: have fun and push through every hardship together.

The late nights, the 1 a.m. practices, and all the sacrifices we made I wouldn’t trade any of it for the world. We had our ups and downs. There were moments when we wanted to give up, moments when we even thought about changing divisions. But at the end of the day, we stayed together and pushed through it all.

Finishing 11th out of 14 teams doesn’t define us. The way my athletes came off that stage, you would have thought we had won it all. Their energy, their smiles, and their pride said everything.

We had only one person with prior experience at this level, a few who had competed at a high level before, and 19 athletes performing a Level 7 routine for the very first time. Watching their excitement when they hit that stage was one of the best feelings I’ve ever had as a coach.

I couldn’t be more proud of this team and this program. What we accomplished this season goes beyond placements we made history. We set a new standard, proved what we’re capable of, and built something truly special that will carry on for years to come.

I’m so excited for next year, and I can’t wait to see what we accomplish next.
