2 years ago, @omobemi_87 called me to come play at his son's first birthday. My first ever public gig if memory serves. I can confirm that the set was terrible. But between him and @fisblak - all I have had is unflinching support. There is something powerful about vocal support, but actions wield even more power. "Uche is playing at Vela, let's book a table." "You need a DJ; I know a guy." Nothing silent about the support. Feedback given with grace and love. These are the men I'm doing life with in cold cold Europe. So everytime Demi marks a new year, it is a reminder of my DJing journey; borne from a love for music and a desire to take people to Agege; one trenches jam at a time. Today, we ganusi. When we load a song on deck 1, we bite turkey. As we do a transition, we use shy hoes to wash it down. What a fitting end to a week capitalism almost snatched my soul. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ by @uchebriggs
