I lost my job, amongst a few other things, at the start of summer. I cried that period. A lot lol. I was frustrated, burnt out, overwhelmed, and honestly just tired.

And then somewhere in all of that, I decided I didn’t want to spend my whole summer being sad about what I lost. I had spent so much time stressed, overworked and worried about what was next that I think I forgot how to just…play.

So I did.

I traveled. I stayed out too late. I danced. I got dressed up. I laughed until my stomach hurt. I spent time with people I love. I said yes to random plans. I made new friends. I rested. I did absolutely nothing sometimes. I let myself have fun without needing it to be productive or lead anywhere.

And somehow, what started as one of the scariest summers of my adult life became one of the best summers I’ve had in a really long time.

Losing somethings I thought I needed made me realize how much I already had.

So to everybody who fed me, traveled with me, danced with me, listened to me, invited me somewhere, made me laugh, let me crash out for a minute, or just happened to be part of one of these little memories…thank you. 🤍 Most importantly, thank you Jesus for keeping me 🥹.
