To be on a team is to be surrounded by love while doing something you love, and @nytimes did an amazing job encapsulating this within the frames of writing and visuals.

Last season, @dontgabalot followed us all the way from auditions to competition season for the purpose of understanding our team through pictures and videos. We had such a great time getting to know her, and we are forever grateful that we had to opportunity to do so. Complementary to the visuals, quotes from members and description about our journey were written by Brian Seibert.

For 27 years, UCLA Nashaa carried and continues to carry a sense of community and belonging for students at UCLA and beyond. We hope that the Best of The Best movie and the New York Times article will impact youth and adults across the world through connection.

UCLA Nashaa 2026-2027 Audition Choreo!

NOTE: THE VIDEOS ARE NOT MIRRORED - Therefore, the dancer’s left side in the video corresponds to the right side, and visa versa FOR THE FRONT VIEW ONLY; for the back view, the dancer’s left side of the video DOES correspond to the left side, and visa versa

The mixes are in the bio! As a reminder, the first piece (hiphop) and second piece (bhangra) are both mandatory. The hiphop has an 8 count freestyle at the end

Thank you to everyone who came to the workshops!!

See you this Saturday (9/26) at 2 PM in the Legacy Room (John Wooden Center) for auditions 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 by @uclanashaa

And that’s a wrap on the Best of The Best x UCLA Nashaa Watch Party 📽️

Thank you to Netflix for giving us the opportunity to share such a beautifully written film with our community. It was so surreal to see how experiences that are hard to express orally were brought to a big screen. Through laughter and tears, we’ve experienced it all TOGETHER.

We started off the Best Of The Best & Netflix Watch Party strong with these snacks from Desi owned businesses: Paro and Confusion Snacks

Thank you to Netflix for sending us these amazing snacks to try out

Hands or feet? Seems like you need both for Bhangra! 🙏🦶

What a privilege it was to be able to host a workshop in the Bay Area. Huge thanks to @nupoordances for sharing such a beautiful studio with us. We would also like to thank everyone who came out and supported Nashaa! There will be more to come, so stay tune.
