Last week’s Family Matter(s) exhibition opening at the UE Art & Design Gallery in Berlin.

The exhibition brings together student works from courses led and curated by Phuong Thu Hoang, exploring what we inherit from the families we are born into, what we carry with us when we leave home, and the different forms of family we build along the way, through diverse perspectives on connection, absence, and change.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening. 🤍

If you haven’t visited yet, Family Matter(s) is on view until 19.10.2026 at the UE Art & Design Gallery, Berlin campus.

We invite you to come by and explore the exhibition.

What if your digital world says more about you than you think?

At the @netzmachtpolitik action day at @buergerhauswilhelmsburg, we explored how digital media and algorithms shape our democracy, our behaviour, and the way we connect.

Now, we’re bringing these questions to the UE Hamburg Campus as part of European @codeweekger 2026.
Come explore, question, create and get a little closer to your own digital identity. 💡

Expect interactive workshops, visual interventions and conversations around algorithms, digital power, democracy and the ways technology shapes our everyday lives. You’ll also have the chance to create your own character and explore your digital identity up close.

When: 10./13./24. October 2026, 3–6 PM
Where: UE Hamburg Campus, 2nd Floor

Come curious, get involved, and see the digital world from a different perspective.

A little recap from an inspiring week at the Arles Photography Festival 🇫🇷📸

UE students and alumni explored incredible exhibitions, discovered new perspectives from artists around the world, wandered through the streets of Arles, and connected with fellow creatives along the way. From guided visits and inspiring conversations to hidden gems around every corner, it was a week full of creativity, connection, and unforgettable moments.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined the trip and made it such a special experience. Until next time, Arles. ✨

The excursion was organized and led by Prof. Michael Danner from our BA Photography & New Media program.
