1,000+ farmers reached. 4 communities. 7 days. One mission. Last week, the UfarmX team completed a major field deployment across rural communities in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, bringing our credit infrastructure directly to the smallholder households who need it most. Here’s what we accomplished: 📍 Gadabiu Wako, Kwaita, Pukafa, Paikon Kore, Gwagwalada — communities where over 90% of farmers have never had access to formal credit 👨‍🌾 1,000+ smallholder farmers and their households reached through direct training sessions and community engagement 🏪 23 new agro-retailers trained on our embedded finance platform 🤝 Traditional authority partnerships with local village chiefs who opened doors and built trust across their networks This wasn’t a conference presentation or a pilot in a controlled environment. This was boots on the ground — sessions under trees when venues overflowed, Hausa translators bridging language gaps, and vigilante security escorts in remote areas. Why does this matter? African farmers sit on 70% of the world’s remaining farmable land. But without credit, they can’t access the inputs they need to be productive. The result: yields that are a fraction of their potential. UfarmX is changing that equation — one community at a time. We’re building the credit infrastructure that lets retailers extend inputs on credit to farmers who’ve never had a credit score. Our AI doesn’t just predict who will repay.
