🐶 "Miniature schnauzer." "Lhasa apso." "Pomeranian." 🐶

These dog breeds weren't just bingo squares—they were opportunities for conversation, confidence, and connection at the UGA Speech and Hearing Clinic's first Athens Aphasia Camp.

Created for adults living with aphasia after stroke, the camp provided personalized communication support through one-on-one therapy and projects centered on each participant's interests and goals. The program also gave student clinicians the opportunity to empower people with aphasia and their families.

🎶 Celebrating a music legend! 🎶

Mary Frances Early has been inducted into the Athens Music Walk of Fame, honoring her lasting impact on music education and the Athens community.

A trailblazer in education and the namesake of the #MFECOE, Early developed a lifelong passion for music at just 8 years old. She began piano lessons in Atlanta and played a variety of instruments in high school and beyond. These experiences laid the foundation for her distinguished career as a music educator and mentor.

The Athens Music Walk of Fame recognizes artists and contributors who have helped make Athens a destination for music fans. Congratulations Ms. Early! We look forward to the plaque installation.
