Ugboja meets Liberia: Culture, Style & Connection Our recent trip to Liberia was nothing short of extraordinary. From hosting a vibrant pop-up and customer meet-up in Monrovia to deepening brand awareness across the capital, this journey was a powerful reminder of why Ugboja exists — to celebrate African identity through style and story. We had the honour of meeting with some of the country’s most influential figures, including the Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, the Director General of the Liberian Broadcasting System, Ambassador Christopher Onanuga, and most significantly, the President of the Republic of Liberia, HE Joseph Nyumah Boakai, and his sons. Each meeting reaffirmed the importance of cultural representation, creative enterprise, and cross-border collaboration. But beyond the headlines, it was Liberia’s warm spirit, rich heritage, and unshakable promise that truly left an impression. Thank you, Liberia, for the incredible welcome, the inspiring conversations, and the opportunity to grow with your people. Ugboja is more than fashion — it’s a movement.
