🇦🇺 One panel done… the first pic is where it started, with several layers of black and lots of clear coat finish… too much!!! ➡️ Swipe to see how it turned out. What do you think? 🤔 by @ugkustom

🇦🇺 Continuing the slow paint removal process. I’ll be very happy once I’m finally finished with the paint work on this old girl! That said, there’s still a long way to go, so I’ll keep at it! by @ugkustom

🇦🇺 I’ve got a few days to get the paint sorted out on my PZJ70 and hope to have all the black removed by Sunday, but we’ll see how it all goes. I forgot how much fun it is to removed the apron panel… lots of bolts in hard to reach places that hold maximum torque until the last thread! And you can only use the finger tips on your left hand! Oh Yeah! Heaps of fun!!! ！！😂😂😂 #landcruiser70series #70series #70serieslandcruiser #70serieslandcruiserowners #pzj77 #pzj75 #pzj74 #pzj73 #pzj71 #pzj70 #hzj79 #hzj78 #hzj77 #hzj76 #hzj75 #hzj74 #hzj73 #hzj71 #hzj70 #vdj76 #grj76 #lc70_40th #japanesefiretruck #patina #patinatruck #patinapaint by @ugkustom

🇦🇺 It’s been a long time since the Crusty Snowflake has been in the sun.☀️ I think she will be outside for a couple of days while I work to finish my PZJ70. Happy days! 😁👍 #toyota #toyota_jp #toyotalandcruiser #landcruiser #landcruiser40 #landcruiser40series #40series #40serieslandcruiser #bj46 #bj45 #bj44 #bj43 #bj42 #bj41 #bj40 #fj45 #fj43 #fj40 #hj47 #hj45 #toyotadiesel #diesel #jdm #rhd #thecrustysnowflake #crustysnowflake #rustrepair #rustrepairpanel #landcruiserrust #factorysofttop by @ugkustom

🇦🇺 I’m refitting the bonnet to the Crusty Snowflake, so reinstalled the factory soundproofing today. I’ve got to bring my PZJ70 into the garage so I can finish it, which means the Crusty Snowflake has to be put back together so it can go outside for a few days. Unfortunately, Crusty is always the lowest priority, as most of you who follow this IG page know. But it’s just the way it has to be for now. Once my PZJ70 finds a new home, perhaps I’ll get some time to really start working on her. Although there are lots of rust repair panels I need to buy or make. I’ve chatted with my good mate Yuji about sending her back to Japan so he and his team can restore her, but we’ll see how everything goes in the next few months. Anyway, I hope you’re having a great weekend! #toyota #toyota_jp #toyotalandcruiser #landcruiser #landcruiser40 #landcruiser40series #40series #40serieslandcruiser #bj46 #bj45 #bj44 #bj43 #bj42 #bj41 #bj40 #fj45 #fj43 #fj40 #hj47 #hj45 #toyotadiesel #diesel #jdm #rhd #thecrustysnowflake #crustysnowflake #rustrepair #rustrepairpanel #landcruiserrust #factorysofttop by @ugkustom

🇦🇺 Test fitting some of the original Japanese fire truck accessories 🚨onto my PZJ70. Of course it’s now too hot to work in the sun, so I’ll be bringing her into the garage next week to try and finish things up. After that, my plan is to send her to auction, where I hope she’ll find a good home with someone who will use her more than I do. #toyotalandcruiser #landcruiser #landcruiser70 #landcruiser70series #70series #70serieslandcruiser #70serieslandcruiserowners #pzj77 #pzj75 #pzj74 #pzj73 #pzj71 #pzj70 #hzj79 #hzj78 #hzj77 #hzj76 #hzj75 #hzj74 #hzj73 #hzj71 #hzj70 #vdj76 #grj76 #lc70_40th #japanesefiretruck #patina #patinatruck #patinapaint by @ugkustom
