I dreamed about you
just the other day.
You'll never ever know it

You were searching
my parents' house
Upending their couch
To find some more suet

You were making a sculpture
To feed to the birds
You said and i quote
"Maybe the dogs left some on their toes"

After scrounging around you left.
You left in the dream
And when i awoke you left

it was never right with us by @uglyteethpoems

Is Superman like us?
Does he have any hobbies
Like bowling or reading
Or getting kittens out of trees?

If he has x ray vision
What is his glasses prescription ?
Does he get headaches
After long days of being Clark Kent?

Superman is doing the best that he can.

Frisbee on the roof
just out of reach

It's never coming
down
It's in a place that
I can't see by @uglyteethpoems

You cannot
un-split the atom

I cannot unmeet you

My trajectory has shifted
For better, for worse ?

You cannot grind down
to a halt
Cos you are an adult
And there’s always

.deserve.

it’s like you don’t
want me
next to you

what did i do
to deserve this?

it’s like unrequited love
floats there
just below the surface

.small.

just going to make myself
small

enough to fit into the shrine of your ex

enough to be called a credit to my sex

just going to slide between
the cracks in the floor.

.what.

What have i done?
What do i do?
What do i keep on falling into?

Save me today.
Save me, again.
Save me forever
and ever,
Amen. by @uglyteethpoems

.curious.

and i shouldn’t care
but i’m curious
various, nefarious
“what if?” scenarios
in my head.

and i shouldn’t stay
but i’m curious
to see if it works.

Like a joint
out of socket
Like a chain
that slipped its locket
Our love has started to fade

Like a single
winking ember
in an ash heap
in December
