Ma dearest, dearest, dearest friends,
I have something I’d love to tell you. In just a little while, I‘ll be turning one.

Time has flown by so fast. Because we’ve been under construction almost this entire year, I never really got the chance to officially tell everyone that we were open. Even on Google Maps, we‘re still marked as ”Temporarily Closed.“
Funny enough, that turned out to be one of the best things that ever happened.

Along the way, I’ve met so many incredible people. Somehow, you all found your way into this little basement that has never officially opened its doors, and for some reason, you kept coming back. That means more to me than you know.
As we approach our first birthday, I‘d love to keep things this way—to continue meeting people naturally, sharing moments, one story at a time.

Over the past year, I’ve made some of you laugh, some of you cry, and I‘m sure I’ve accidentally upset or disappointed a few of you, too. Please forgive my young and foolish moments. I still have so much growing to do.
But for this anniversary, there‘s only one thing we want to share: joy.

To celebrate turning one, we’ve prepared a whole week of surprises.
From July 15th to 19th, each day will bring a different kind of UH Bar celebration, each with its own energy, its own people, and its own memories waiting to happen.
So instead of calling it our Grand Opening...

Let‘s call it The Grand NOpening.

Always, I’m just uh(a) bar in Toronto, I have good music good drinks and good people, you will come eh? by @uh_bar

This is what the Toronto Cocktail festival is all about - celebrating the industry that makes Toronto’s cocktail scene what it is! Award-winning bartenders, unforgettable bars, and a room full of the people who make this city’s amazing drink scene and TCF happen, and of course our signature events going on sale this Saturday ;)

A peak into some of the bartenders who brought the bar to life: Massimo Zitti shook up the Canadian Breakfast with Johnnie Walker Black Label, blueberries, distilled peanut butter, and peach whey; Jacob Martin poured the Floral White Negroni Sour, built on Don Julio Blanco with gentian and elderflower liqueurs, white cucumber syrup, and a touch of salted absinthe; and James Grant stirred up the Ruby Vesper, layering Tanqueray No. Ten with yogurt-washed Ketel One, Lillet Blanc, raspberry eau de vie, and orris root syrup. World-class talent, standout sips, and a spectacular night.

Now the real thing — Oct. 18–25, 2026. See you there, Toronto. taken in Toronto, Canada by @uh_bar
