🌍 UHUMANS: A humanitarian initiative solving gender based violence, exploitation and inequality through Educate - Empower - Evolve @vayyufoundation
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Two weeks have passed since the Haus of Respect Iron Circle Run, but the impact continues to echo through our community.

What started as a run became something far greater. It became a conversation. A commitment. A promise that together, we will continue to stand against domestic abuse, champion male allyship, and create safer homes and stronger communities for everyone.

I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who walked, ran, volunteered, supported, donated, and simply showed up. Every step taken was a statement that violence has no place in our homes, and that respect, compassion and accountability must lead the way.

A heartfelt thank you to @highsheriffofleicestershire, @johal_k_s Lord Mayor, MP @shivaniraja , @shockatadam , and every community leader who stood shoulder to shoulder with us. Your presence wasn't just symbolic—it reinforced that this is a cause that belongs to all of us.

To the remarkable men, women and children of Leicester and Leicestershire who chose to stand up, speak out and be allies: thank you. Real strength is not measured by power over others, but by the courage to protect, to listen, to challenge harmful behaviours, and to lead with respect.

This journey, in collaboration with @womentum CIC and Summit Craft, has been filled with lessons, Here's a heartfelt draft you could use as a LinkedIn or Facebook post.

Two weeks have passed since the House of Respect Run, but the impact continues to echo through our community.

What started as growth and reflection. Every challenge has strengthened our resolve, and every conversation has reminded us why this work matters. Advocacy is not just about raising awareness—it is about creating lasting change. It is about turning advocacy into legacy.

If even one family feels safer, if one survivor feels heard, if one man chooses respect over control, then every mile was worth it.

This is only the beginning.

Together, we will continue building a community where respect is the standard, allyship is the expectation, and every woman, child and family can live free from fear.

Thank you for believing in this vision. Thank you for walking beside us. Thank you for helping us build a legacy of respect. by @uhumansproject

9,300 Abusers are set to be Back on Our Streets… And We’re Supposed to Accept This?

Read that again.

9,300.

For victims across this country, safety is already fragile. It’s something they fight for every single day. And now we’re saying thousands of perpetrators could walk free earlier than expected?

How is that protection?
How is that justice?

This isn’t political. It’s personal.
It’s about people who will now live with even more fear, more anxiety, more uncertainty.

If space is the problem—why is early release the solution?
Why are we not using the countless abandoned and unused buildings across this country to create secure environments for offenders?
Why does it feel like the system keeps asking victims to carry the risk?

And let’s be honest about the contradiction:
People committing lesser, non-violent crimes are still locked up…
while those responsible for serious, lasting harm may be released early.

Make it make sense.

We say we want safer communities.
We say we stand with victims.
But decisions like this say something very different.

This needs to be challenged.
This needs to change.

Because safety should never be optional.
And silence is not an option anymore. by @uhumansproject

The Haus of Respect video is now live… and even writing this, it’s hard to put into words what that day truly meant.

In just a few hours, so many emotions were felt.
There were moments of heaviness, moments of truth, moments of discomfort, but also moments of hope, strength, and unity.

We spoke openly about domestic abuse.
About policies, the realities behind them, and where they fall short.
About the narratives society has accepted for too long, and the truth that challenges them.
And about the frightening reality that the numbers are still rising, and too many people are still living this every single day.

But what Haus of Respect became was bigger than a conversation.

It became a moment that stayed with people.

Even three weeks later, we’re still receiving messages.
People telling us they’re thinking differently.
Acting differently.
Changing conversations in their homes, in their workplaces, in their organisations.

That is what this was about.

For those few hours, we brought together policymakers, advocates, survivors, and allies — including powerful conversations around male allyship — to speak honestly about the highs, the lows, the strengths, and the gaps.
No egos. No barriers. Just people, united by one issue that affects us all.

And for us, as organisations like UHUMANS and the @vayyufoundation and @womentumcic , this means everything.

Because this is what we fight for every single day —
to protect disadvantaged communities,
to educate,
to give people a voice,
to give individuals a chance,
and to help build a future that feels safer, fairer, and more understood.

If you couldn’t be there, this video is a small window into something that left a lasting impact.

But the work doesn’t stop here.

It continues with all of us taken in The City Rooms, Leicester by @uhumansproject

The impact of education is that it doesn’t just change one person — it can change generations. 🌍

@uhumans_kenya has now supported thousands of children and communities, educating them about safety, domestic abuse, healthy relationships, sexual health and prevention.

But what makes me most proud is the impact beyond the classroom changing mindsets, challenging what has been accepted, empowering both girls and boys, and helping communities create a safer and healthier future for the next generation.

Through building trust with chiefs, community leaders and communities themselves, we are creating conversations that have the potential to change perspectives for generations to come.

And this is only the beginning.

UHUMANS continues to grow stronger, bigger, wider and louder across the UK and globally reaching more communities, more generations and creating greater impact through education and awareness.

There is so much more to come, so much more to reveal, and so much more work to do.

I am incredibly proud of what @humpter_diaries r and the entire team have achieved, and incredibly excited for where we are going next.

Thank you to everyone who has supported UHUMANS and @vayyufoundation through our events, talks, debates, schools, communities and beyond.

The mission is growing. The impact is growing. And the next chapter is going to be even bigger. 🌍❤️ by @uhumansproject

🌍❤️ Breaking taboos, building knowledge, and empowering the next generation.

Today, we’re shining a light on the incredible work taking place in Mombasa, Kenya, educating young people about puberty, body changes, menstrual health, and understanding how their bodies work. 🌱✨

Growing up comes with so many changes, questions, and emotions, yet these conversations are still surrounded by stigma and cultural taboos in many communities. By educating both boys and girls about puberty, menstrual cycles, personal hygiene, and how to use sanitary towels, we’re creating safe spaces where young people can learn, ask questions, and grow in confidence without shame or embarrassment.

🩸 Period poverty is a global issue, affecting communities around the world, including here in the UK. But addressing it goes beyond access to menstrual products. It also means providing education, breaking down stigma, and ensuring every young person has the knowledge and support they need to understand their body and navigate these changes with dignity.

Through this work, we’re strengthening knowledge, encouraging understanding between boys and girls, and helping build a generation that approaches puberty and menstrual health with empathy, respect, and confidence. 🤝💗

It is an absolute honour to witness and support this work, and we are so grateful to @humpter for continuing to make a difference across Kenya, reaching schools and rural communities to help create safer, more inclusive environments where young people feel informed, supported, and empowered.

Because puberty is a natural part of growing up, periods are nothing to be ashamed of, and education should never be a taboo.🌸

Together, we can break the silence, challenge stigma, and create a future where every young person has the knowledge and confidence to understand their body.

I had the privilege of spending time with young people aged 11–14 at @stjohnsleicester the Baptist Church, having important conversations around healthy relationships, boundaries, consent, and what abuse can look like.

We explored relatable, age-appropriate scenarios to help young people recognise situations that may not always feel right, and, most importantly, understand that their voice matters.

It is so important that spaces of faith open their doors to conversations like these.

Regardless of our religion, culture, background or community, we all share a responsibility to help keep children safe. That means creating environments where children feel empowered to speak up, ask questions, set boundaries and know that they have a say, even when they may feel pressured by someone older, more senior, or someone they trust.

These conversations cannot be left until children are older. We need to equip them from a young age with the knowledge, confidence and language to understand what is and isn't okay.

A huge thank you to St John the Baptist Church for opening your doors and allowing us to have these important conversations with your young people. 🙏

This is why we do the work we do, to shed light on difficult topics, create safer communities and make sure every child knows:

Your voice matters.
Your boundaries matter.
You have the right to feel safe.

And these conversations need to continue. ❤️

✨ What an incredible evening! ✨

We were honoured to be welcomed by @stjohnsleicester in Leicester to have some important, honest and empowering conversations with young people aged 11–14 about VAWG, abuse, consent, respect, healthy relationships and bystander intervention. 🧡

Thanks to the support and funding from @leicestershire_police, we’re able to take these vital conversations into our communities and schools, because breaking the cycle of silence starts with talking.

The young people were absolutely fantastic! 🙌 Their knowledge, openness and willingness to ask questions made for some really powerful conversations, connecting these issues to everyday life at home, at school and in the community.

We’re especially grateful to the church for opening its doors and creating a safe space for these conversations. Sometimes the topics that feel hardest to talk about are the ones we most need to talk about.

Healthy relationships start with consent, respect, understanding and speaking up.

What a privilege to be part of such an important conversation. 🧡

Let’s keep talking. Let’s keep challenging. Let’s break the cycle. by @uhumansproject

It was a pleasure to visit @fashionenterltd Academy and spend time with the incredible women and men within their team, having open and meaningful conversations around domestic abuse, healthy relationships, and gender equality.

We spoke about recognising the different forms of abuse, understanding what healthy and respectful relationships look like, and exploring how equality, respect and empowerment matter not only in the workplace, but also in our personal lives.

These conversations are so important because knowledge can empower us to recognise unhealthy behaviours, understand our rights and boundaries, support one another, and create safer, healthier communities.

A huge thank you to Fashion Enter for welcoming us, creating space for these important conversations, and for being open to sharing this information with your wider community. We hope the conversations continue far beyond our time together. 🫶🏽 by @uhumansproject

🌿 AN HONOUR FOR THE VAYYU FOUNDATION®

We were incredibly honoured to be invited to the High Sheriff’s @highsheriffofleicestershire intimate garden party — a beautiful afternoon celebrating people, organisations and communities working to create positive change.

For us, it was also an opportunity to reflect on the extraordinary support the High Sheriff has shown @vayyufoundation @uoceanproject and @uhumansproject and our work across Leicester and beyond.

✈️ From standing alongside our young people through @uoceanproject - Heights of Possibility, helping us open the world of aviation to those who may never have imagined themselves in a cockpit…

🧡 To supporting @uhumansproject Haus of Respect, our movement confronting domestic violence, educating communities and building a new generation of male allies prepared to stand up, speak out and challenge harmful behaviours.

🌍 His support has crossed projects, communities and causes, but the common thread has always been people.

People being given opportunity.

People being protected.

People discovering what they are capable of.

And people coming together to make their communities stronger.

As a family-founded philanthropic foundation, moments like this mean a great deal to us. We may deliver very different projects, but they are all connected by one belief:

When you invest in human potential, you create change that can last for generations.

Thank you to the High Sheriff for believing in our work, showing up for our communities and standing alongside us.

From empowering a young person to take their first flight to standing together against domestic violence — your support matters. 🙏🏽

People. Planet. Purpose.

We had the privilege of visiting @gurdwarasahib_rbl , Hamilton, Leicester, to have open and honest conversations around domestic abuse, male allyship, safeguarding, education and building stronger communities.

This wasn’t just about raising awareness. It was about educating our young people, boys and girls, young men and women, about what abuse can look like and how we respond to it.

We spoke about real-life situations and scenarios, including cultural, emotional and spiritual abuse, the impact these experiences can have on individuals and families, and the importance of knowing how to protect, support and stand alongside those who may be experiencing harm.

A huge thank you to the seniors of Gurdwara Sahib for welcoming us, creating space for these conversations and recognising the importance of speaking about issues that can sometimes feel difficult or uncomfortable.

There can sometimes be a fear that these conversations will have a negative impact on our communities or institutions. But we believe that education, openness and prevention create strength not weakness.

When we create safe spaces to talk, our young people are better equipped to thrive, families become stronger and communities become safer.

Another Collaboration of UHUMANS and Womentum CIC.

The conversations may be difficult.
But they are necessary.
And together, we can create change. by @uhumansproject

🏆 THE IRON CIRCLE — OUR WINNERS! 🏆

Every person who stepped onto that course was part of something bigger than a run.
Big thanks to @trophiesplusmedals for the amazing amazing TROPHIES 🏆

The @uhumansproject @vayyufoundation “Haus of Respect” – Iron Circle Run brought people together to stand against gender-based violence, champion MALE ALLYSHIP, and show what happens when a community chooses to stand up, speak out and take action. 🖤

🏃‍♂️ A huge THANK YOU to every single person who ran, walked, supported, volunteered and stood alongside us - this is celebrating action 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

And a massive congratulations to those incredible runners who took home the Iron Circle trophies! 🏆👏

Thank you to @highsheriffofleicestershire and @shivaniraja and @shockatadam and @johal_k_s for launching the event.

To the runners, walkers and everyone in in between, you pushed yourselves, showed determination and helped make the first Iron Circle something we will never forget such as @totalcombatacademy

But the biggest victory wasn’t measured by who crossed the line first.

It was seeing people from across our community standing together for respect, safety and change.

One circle.
One community.
One message.

Violence has no place in our homes, our communities or our future.

✨ Community Engagement Session – Everyone Welcome✨

We are honoured to be hosting a Haus of Respect Community Engagement Session at @gurdwarasahib_rbl Hamilton, Leicester on Saturday, 12th September, from 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM.

Together, we'll be exploring:
💜 What domestic abuse is—and what it doesn't always look like.
🤝 Healthy relationships and safe family environments.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Raising children, including boys, in today's society.
🛡️ The vital role of families, communities, faith leaders, and religious institutions in creating safer spaces and supporting those affected.

These conversations don't often take place within faith settings, which is why we're especially grateful to Gurdwara Sahib for providing this platform. By coming together, we can help build a community where everyone feels safe, respected, supported, and empowered with the knowledge to recognise abuse and foster healthy relationships from a young age.

This session is open to everyone from young people to elders. Together, we can create lasting change for our families and communities.
