Longer evenings are good for slowing down with something worth looking at. Might I suggest "LONELY" as you take a beat?

The Hunter’s perch…..

The 99.1% full Hunter’s Moon setting over the Verrazano Narrows Bridge in the pre-dawn hours. The outside temp was in the crisp low 40s, and after going to bed pretty late and deciding when the alarm went off at 4:45am, if my sleep priorities are alright, I am glad I had decided that my priorities were indeed straight for the love of Luna. Captures like these make the efforts of other photographers like myself, a rewarding experience—sleep deprived or not.

This alignment was planned by my good friend @rajmundayat who, happily didn’t join me on this shoot as his daughter got married today. My wife @riadattaa and I were delighted to join the wedding a bit later in the morning and I dedicate these imags to the newlyweds Anjali and Mark.

Planned with the amazing @planitphoto PlanitEarth and captured as always using my trusty @canonusa EOS R6 Mark2 using @sigmaphoto 150-600mm lens.

A cosmic love…
These are the Heart and Soul Nebulae, IC1805 and IC1848. Located 6,000-7,500 light-years away in the Perseus arm of the Milky Way in the constellation Cassiopeia.

The Heart Nebula, shaped like the heart, houses an open star cluster called Melotte 15, which features massive young stars glowing up to 50 times the mass of the Sun.

The Soul Nebula Acts as a major stellar nursery containing multiple embedded open clusters (such as Cr 32, Cr 33, and Cr 34) and cavities carved out by intense stellar winds.

Captured from my Bortle 6 backyard over 4 nights using the Duo-band filter and contains almost 11.5 hours of data using @dwarflab DWARF3 in EQ-mode with zero deg deviation. Each exposure at 45”/60gain. Each night’s session was a 4-panel mosaic.

The 1st image is pure Ha using the Duo-band filter, processed entirely using AstroWizard (@lukomatico ), while the 2nd image was processed in Siril using the SHO Hubble palette and finished in Ps. Big shoutout @naztronomy for his amazing preprocessing Siril script and the RC-Astro and Veralux scripts as well as @lukomatico for the StackingWizard and AstroWizard programs.

A tale of 2 processing techniques….

This is galaxy C30, also designated as NGC7331. It’s an unbarred spiral galaxy located in the constellation Pegasus some 40-45million light-years away from earth and measuring about 120,000 light years across. It is the brightest member of a small group of galaxies (sometimes called the NGC 7331 Group or the Deer Lick group) and sits in the same region of the sky near Stephan’s Quintet, though it is much closer to Earth. Stephan’s Quintet galaxies can be seen towards the bottom of the frame.

C30 features an inclined stellar disk, prominent spiral arms with dust lanes and young blue star clusters, a yellowish older star core, and a supermassive black hole at its center. The smaller galaxies, often referred to as “the fleas” are seen hovering near NGC 7331 are NGC 7335, NGC 7336, NGC 7337, and NGC 7340.

Stephan’s Quintet is a famous visual grouping of five galaxies in the constellation Pegasus. Although it appears as five close neighbors, only four galaxies are truly interacting at 300 million light-years away, while the fifth is a foreground galaxy at just 40 million light-years. Key galaxies in the Stephan’s Quintet are NGC7317, NGC7318A, NGC7318B, NGC7319, and NGC7320 (courtesy NASA/Wikipedia).

Image 1 was processed solely using StackingWizard and AstroWizard by @lukomatico while the /nd image was stacked and processed in Siril and finished and embellished with star spikes in Ps. Drop in the comments as to which is your favorite.

Quick fall reminder: clearing one shelf or one wall now makes the whole house easier to decorate once the holidays actually hit. What are you making room for this year?

Would "HOUSES WITH A STORY TO TELL" make a good holiday conversation piece?

#houseswithastorytotell #ujjwaldattaphotography by @ujjwaldattaphotography

A quick interior note for the season: don't forget warmer textiles this month, like wool throws, wood tones, deeper colors, and striking monochromes.

What's your favorite fall item to display, or decor tip you live by?

Would "Fire Island Lighthouse And Building With Star Trails" fit your style?

#fireislandlighthouseandbuildingwithstartrails #ujjwaldattaphotography by @ujjwaldattaphotography

October is historically the season of change. What changed for you this year? As we reflect on some art together this morning, I'd like to know.

Epiphanies, moves, whatever it may be.

And if you're looking to change up your space, you could consider today's feature, "DEVIL S TEETH SUNSET" or the other work in my online gallery.

"Cape May Lighthouse Sunset" is a good one to sit with slowly on a cooler
October morning. No rush today; we can take a moment before the holiday chaos truly sets in.
