"If you want to have a larger impact, come to the College of Public Health. You'll learn how to improve the health of an entire community."

For UK Bachelor of Public Health student Hollie Hagan, that community has always been Grayson County, Kentucky, and she hopes to one day return home to help it thrive.

The UK College of Public Health is proud to celebrate the Spring 2026 students who made the Dean's List!

Undergraduate students are eligible for the Dean's List by earning a grade point average of 3.5 or higher while enrolled in 12 or more credit hours for a letter grade.

Please note that missing or late posting grades may result in a student being omitted from the list. Students who believe their name was mistakenly omitted should contact their academic advisor for further assistance. Students also have the option to opt out of this recognition, and those who have done so would not be reflected on the list.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Showcase 2026. Students, faculty, staff, and partners shared work that reflects the reach of public health across Kentucky. We’re grateful to all who presented posters, engaged in conversations, and helped make this year’s event a meaningful space for learning and connection.

A special thank‑you to our panel, A Youth Health Coalition in Action: Lessons from Lawrence County, and to the Lawrence County High School Youth Health Coalition for their conversation on youth leadership and community impact, a strong reminder of the power of student voices in public health.

Our students are working hard to build our new home for the UK College of Public Health but they need your help! 🔨

With your donation on One Day for UK we are one step closer to our goal. Plus you will:
-🏗️Have your name added to the walls of our new building
-🏆Propel us to victory over other colleges for bonus prize money
-📈Help unlock the Dean’s Challenge for $5,000 more for CPH

All donors who join us on One Day for UK will have their name etched into the walls of a space inside the Rankin Health Education Building.

Our new home will shape how future public health leaders learn, collaborate and serve Kentucky and beyond. Today, alumni and friends can help leave a permanent mark on that future. Give any amount large or small at the link in our bio! by @ukcph

From the lab bench to Capitol Hill 👏

Subin Kim was selected as one of only 20 early-career scientists nationwide for the AACR Early-Career Hill Day, where she advocated for sustained cancer research funding and highlighted the importance of science policy in advancing patient care. Her work continues to bridge cancer research, public health and advocacy—proving scientific impact extends far beyond the lab.

Graduating seniors Cynthia Sanders and Kennedy Stephens spent their summer working with rural Kentucky communities through the UK CPH Rural Health Scholars Program.

Their hands‑on experiences, from risk reduction and environmental health to pharmacy outreach and family education, helped them build skills that will support their success as future public health professionals.
