How to Play C Major on Ukulele

Three voicings of the C major chord on a high G ukulele. The standard voicing (3-0-0-0) is likely the first chord you ever learned. The second (2-2-3-5) is useful when C appears next to Bb or another chord with a similar shape. The third (7-8-0-0) is a less common voicing with a brighter sound.

L'amour est bleu (Love Is Blue) was composed by André Popp in 1967 and recorded by many artists, but it's Paul Mauriat's lush orchestral instrumental that most people know. His version reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making him the first French lead artist to top that chart.

This arrangement for low G ukulele was created by Yujiro from @ukuleletime_fingerstyle. It also works beautifully with re-entrant (high G) tuning, so no need to restring if you haven't gone low G yet. A lovely tune either way.
