It was a form of protection, identity, and memory passed from one generation to another. Colors, symbols, and stitching techniques changed from region to region, reflecting local traditions, landscapes, and beliefs.Every region of Ukraine has its own rhythm, history, and visual language woven into thread. A single glance at a pattern could tell you where a person came from.👉 Swipe through the carousel and discover the unique embroidered codes of Ukraine’s regions. by @ukraine

March 18 marks the Day of Remembrance of the Genocide of the Crimean Tatar people. On this day, in 1944, the Soviet regime launched one of the darkest crimes — the mass deportation of an entire indigenous nation from its homeland. In a matter of hours, families were torn from their homes and sent into exile, where thousands would die from hunger, disease, and brutal conditions.Today, Russia is once again bringing terror, displacement, and repression to Crimea. Recognizing the 1944 deportation as genocide is not only about justice for the past. It is about preventing these crimes from being repeated in the future. Will your country be next to recognize the Crimean Tatar genocide? by @ukraine

Kyiv woke up to another night of terror.Russia launched one of its largest attacks yet, targeting Ukraine with 656 drones and 73 missiles, including 41 ballistic missiles. The main target was Ukraine's capital. At least 6 people were killed and 64 injured in Kyiv alone, including three children aged 3, 11, and 17. A nine-story apartment building was partially destroyed. A clinic serving 20,000 residents, medical facilities, homes, energy infrastructure, and civilian buildings were damaged across the city.Ukraine needs more air defense systems. More interceptor missiles. More support.Every delayed decision costs lives. Every intercepted missile saves them.Kyiv. Dnipro. Kharkiv. Zaporizhzhia. These are not military targets. These are cities where people sleep, work, raise children, and hope to see another sunrise.Stand with Ukraine. Help us close the sky. 🇺🇦#SkyShieldNow by @ukraine

Today Romania confirmed that it was a Russian drone that struck a residential building in a Romanian town of Galati. Thank God, no one was killed..For years, Ukrainians have warned that Russia's war would not stay contained within Ukraine's borders. Every missile, every drone, every act of terror carries risks far beyond our country. The good news is that this threat can be reduced.Ukraine can stop more drones and missiles — if our partners provide sufficient military aid, help strengthen our air defense, and stop indirectly financing Russia's war machine through sanction loopholes.Every intercepted drone is one less threat to a Ukrainian, Romanian, Polish, or other European family.Supporting Ukraine is not charity. It is an investment in Europe's security. Russia's drones do not respect borders. Our collective defense shouldn't either.#SkyShieldNow #makerussiapay by @ukraine

Ten years ago, Russia abducted Crimean Tatar activist Ervin Ibragimov. CCTV cameras captured the moment he was forced into a van in occupied Crimea. He has never been seen again. His story was one of the first enforced disappearances under Russian occupation. It would not be the last.Ervin's case shows what happens when occupation crimes go unpunished: kidnappings become policy, and terror becomes a tool of rule. Occupqtion is not peace, it's genocide! by @ukraine
