Following up on yesterday’s post - here’s proof that free downloads matter.I took a deep dive into my own Rekordbox and Soundcloud to find tracks by some of the biggest names in the scene that were once free downloads.I am sure, every follow, repost and download helped get them there. Thats why you should remember to follow, like and repost the track you download even if Hypeddit does not make you do it automatically anymore.Support your artists. As someone who built this page around free music discovery and supporting underground artists, I felt like I had to say something about this.Hypeddit updated how their download gates work with SoundCloud - meaning artists no longer automatically get the follows, likes and reposts they used to get when someone downloaded their music.For underground artists in the UK Garage and bass scene, that engagement wasn’t just numbers - it was how they got discovered and stayed visible.So if you’re downloading free music: follow the artist. Like the track. Repost it. Takes 10 seconds and means everything to them.The underground scene runs on community support. Let’s keep it that way 🤝 by @uksoundembassy

After a lil break last month we are finally back together in the @674fm HQ this Friday!
