I Am Not One Dimensional

I honestly don’t think any of us are.

The art is in the juggle

But first, you must decide if you have the capacity to handle the juggle.

As a multi-passionate person, I wear different hats in different rooms.

I get asked all the time how I handle it all.

Trust me, there have been times I’ve worn the wrong hat into a room and had to change it while there 😅

But here are some ways I’ve found effective:

1. Block Calendar-ing 📅
My calendar looks the same every week, but what I do in each block changes week-to-week. I only do things in the designated block of time for that role.

2. 5-Second Decision Making ⏱️
Mel Robbins talks about this. I apply the same rule to every email or request I get. In 5 seconds, I decide if I am Taking, Delegating, or Collaborating. Then, I proceed accordingly.

3. Build a Referral Deck 🗂️
Understand your limits and don’t overcommit. Sometimes you have to say no to projects or activities that don’t align with your goals. When you do, pull out your referral deck and refer that opportunity to someone else.

4. Trust my team 👥
I have different teams that support my different roles. I even consider my children part of my team (and tell them that!) and i trust and empower each to carry out what they are tasked with. No micromanaging necessary.

5. Reflect and Adjust 🔄
Weekly, look at how things went and adjust your time blocks if you need more or less time. Regularly assess your progress and adjust your plans as needed. Flexibility is key to managing multiple passions effectively.

It’s true, we can’t be what we don’t see

But more valuable is understanding how others do it.

In 25 days, I turn 45 🎉

I’ve be running every day for the last 20 days in a celebration countdown. As I lace up for my next run, It’s got me thinking

Campaigning has a way of filling every minute: schedules, strategy, spreadsheets. So every now and then, it matters to me that I pause for a different kind of planning: memory-making. 🧡

These moments with my kids keep me centered. They remind me that leadership isn’t just about what we build, but who we’re building it for

They’re my reminder that purpose and joy can coexist, even in campaign season.
