Happy Easter!
In addition to celebrating the resurrection of Christ.. my family and I celebrated their 58th year anniversary 🙏🏽! My sisters and I like to gather around my mom and listen to and sing songs she once enjoyed singing… I asked my older sister to put on Tennessee Waltz as my mom would kill a harmony on that song… but instead she pulled the big sis card and put on Donna Summers, Hot Stuff.. she said Mom would prefer Hot Stuff. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Sooooo my ukulele voyage after 5 years has landed me here! I would have never thought. At the top of February, I gave into my curiosity on playing the guitar! I figured 2 extra strings..the transition can’t be that hard. Little did I know 🤯. Big up strings E & A. Youve humbled me. It’s taking a lot of practice just to fret chords and even pick the right string and the practice continues. Miles and miles to go.

My approach with learning the guitar is going to be vastly different from my learning path with the uke. I’ve really been spending time trying to learn my fret board and the myriad of scales. I have no idea if the path I’m taking is correct, but I’m learning nonetheless. Slow and steady.

As for my uke… I’m still playing/learning in tandem with my guitar. I love playing the ukulele.. I hope to never put it down. Going from the guitar to the uke truly feels like going home. It’s like hugs on my finger tips coming back from the steel string acoustic guitar.

And so a new journey begins!
