The ULA XS Circuit packs exactly the same punch as our standard sized Circuit, but offers a 12" to 18" adjustable torso by having shoulder straps and a hipbelt that moves up and down.

It also makes a great pack for adults with smaller frames that don't quite fit into our standard sized Circuit

With the adjustable range of the torso, those little humans that are expected to grow can grow with the pack until they eventually move into the standard torso range.

Despite its petite makeup, it's still able to carry 35lb loadouts and all the gear you could need for extended stays in the backcountry.

It also features all the standard 2024 updates like the removable top-y strap, updated Ice-axe loop, and UltraStretch mesh on our Robic versions.

If you've been having trouble finding a full capacity, fully framed pack that fits your shorter torso, the XS Circuit might be what you need.

A little ensemble of ULA pack design over the years!

Some of these packs have been either discontinued entirely or morphed into packs featured in our current line-up.

The Conduit sure looks familiar...

From frameless packs like the Amp to older framed packs like the P2, these designs span multiple decades and paint a great history of how things have evolved into where we are today.

We're proud to continue a legacy that started way back in 2001: building high-quality, long-distance backpacking packs right here in Logan, Utah.

ATTN: THRU-HIKERS

Lets talk about top straps and which one is the right set up for your hike!

Should you stick with a Standard Top-strap or make the move to the Y-strap?

Let's break it down.

Standard Top-Strap:

These are meant to act as compression straps and can handle lightweight items but are not meant for bulkier items like bear canisters. This is handy when the pack isn't fully loaded or you've got lightweight items like bags of chips or rain gear that you want quicker access to.

Top Y-Strap

The Y-Strap is meant for bulkier items like bear canisters and with the ever rising amount of natural areas requiring/suggesting them, we made the updates to the 2024 packs to be compatible with them. The Y-strap is the most reliable and efficient strap set up when you anticipate needing heavier items like multiple water bladders or a bear can at the top of the pack. This is especially handy in desert areas and bear country.

If you're carrying a Circuit or Catalyst and don't have a Y-strap, you can fit up to a BV500 inside of the pack, vertically in the Circuit, and horizontally in the Catalyst. If you need some help with how to pack your pack to ensure your can fits inside feel free to send us a DM.

If you're carrying smaller capacity packs like the CDT or Ohm on your hike and know you'll need to carry a bear canister or the like, we recommend using the Y-strap system to get the best use out of your gear.

We want you to have a successful thru-hike and knowing the use case and limitations of your gear is paramount to that.

If you have an older model pack we are able to retrofit it to accommodate the removable strap systems!
