5 years alcohol free. ✨

Five years ago, I made a decision that aligned with the person I wanted to become. A decision for more clarity, more peace, more discipline, more growth, and a healthier lifestyle.

Over these years, I’ve learned so much about myself. I’ve grown mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Life still brought challenges, stress, celebrations, and difficult moments, but I experienced them fully present and with a clear mind.

I also lost one of the people I loved the most because of alcohol. That pain changed the way I look at life, health, and the choices we make for ourselves and the people we love.

Being alcohol free gave me a different kind of strength …the strength to stay focused, grounded, and connected to my purpose.

Today I celebrate 5 years of choosing myself, my health, my family, my goals, and my future. 🤍

And for those thinking about stopping, or even just reducing the amount you drink… I’m rooting for you. Small steps matter too. You don’t have to do it alone.

We want to celebrate Mother's Day as part of our lives, to grow in resilience. We want to thank our supportive moms who are part of the Fundación Autismo Aruba. Thanks to them, a lot of things mean to happen.These incredible women have devoted their time, energy, and love to support children and families navigating the challenges of autism. Their unwavering dedication has fostered a nurturing community where everyone feels valued and understood.

On this special day, we plan to honor their contributions with a heartfelt celebration. Families will come together to share stories, laughter, and gratitude. Children will present handmade gifts and cards, expressing their love and appreciation in the most genuine ways. There will be music, games, and a special tribute to acknowledge the strength and warmth these mothers bring into our lives.

We also want to create a beautiful memory that underscores the power of community and the boundless love of a mother. Through workshops, support groups, and educational events, Fundación Autismo Aruba continues to empower families, promoting understanding and acceptance within the broader community.

In celebrating these wonderful moms, we embrace the idea that together, we can build a more compassionate world where every child is celebrated for who they are. Here's to the mothers who inspire us every day, reminding us of the beauty found in resilience and love. by @uleiketromp

💙 April 2 – World Autism Awareness Day 💙
Today we honor, celebrate, and advocate for individuals on the autism spectrum. It’s a reminder that with love, support, and understanding, every child can thrive.

My journey began in 2008 while studying Psychology in Orlando. A friend asked me to babysit a 7-year-old boy with autism. I had never heard of autism,but that one child changed my life. I fell in love with the work and began learning everything I could.

I interned at Quest Kids, a center for children with special needs, where I gained hands-on experience in behavior therapy and worked with incredible professionals and children with autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, and more. When Quest Kids Academy opened, I had the privilege of continuing my work there — an experience that fueled my purpose.

In 2011, I returned to Aruba with one mission and founded Brighter Future Aruba. I started small, visiting families, supporting schools, and giving therapy in my living room. In 2014, we opened our own space at La Sallestraat 41, now home to First Steps, our early intervention program for 22 children ages 2–5.

In 2022, together with amazing and dedicated parents, we founded Brighter Future Academy Foundation, officially opening in January 2023. Today, we serve 32 children with a growing waiting list, and in August 2025, we’ll open our Life Skills Program for teens.

I also proudly serve as a board member of the Autism Foundation of Aruba since 2011, advocating for awareness, support, and inclusion across the island.

💙 To the Brighter Future Academy Foundation team, our First Steps team, our amazing parents, the Autism Foundation of Aruba, our incredible sponsors, my beautiful family, my parents and every single person who has walked beside me on this journey, Thank you. Your belief, love, and dedication make this mission possible every single day.

One child changed my life, and today, that world is my passion and purpose.
