Really proud of the presentations in the graphic design capstone class today. Students worked with Samantha Leger, the Marketing and Events Manager at Boys and Girls Club of Acadiana to create their marketing materials this fall semester. Each group presented research and strategies to help this very important community program with marketing materials to assist in community outreach, fundraising and communications. Each group had really good insight into what materials to develop and how to deliver them. Looking forward to see the work move forward through the semester.

The senior graphic design capstone students got a demo from Dylan and Trevor at Ava Media. Great discussion today as Dylan (ULL Grad from 2016) talked about how he sets up shots for packaging and best methods to light the work. taken in Fletcher Hall, UL by @ulgraphicdesign

That’s a wrap! The senior graphic design students worked with several community organizations and developed branding and marketing materials. This was an 8 week service learning project. Each group worked up and delivered three deliverables for use in print and digital campaigns for each organization. Thanks to Chorale Acadienne, Louisiana Folk Roots, Canneci Tinne Apache Tribe, Deuxieme Vie Creative, and the Children’s Museum of Acadiana for working with us this semester. All this was organized by the Department of Visual Arts and the Acadiana Center for the Arts. Special shout out to Gwen Richard for making this possible. taken in Fletcher Hall, UL by @ulgraphicdesign
