Say hello to your Fall 2026 LES officers! Led by Cooper Robert as President, our team of Kelby Richard as Vice President, Samuel Goutierrez as Secretary, Jaxon Bishop as Treasurer, Victoria Lebouef as Sports Corlordinator, and Nathaniel Pharis as Outreach are here to run the LES ULL student chapter for everyone! Good Evening Cajuns! Get ready for the third LES sports tourrnament of the semester, soccer! We'll be playing down at the Intramural Sports Complex again, at 5:30 PM on Friday, October 16th at 5:00 PM. We'd love to see a good turnout from all the engineering disciplines, and a good match on top of that. Remember, your department gets points towards department of the year if you just show up. Happy Saturday Everyone! Come on down to the Engineering Tailgate spot today at the Leon Moncla Indoor Practice Facility's exterior football practice field on the corner of Cajundome Boulevard and Reinhardt Drive! We're in the student tailgate section in the Southeast Corner of the field. Come out and tailgate the game with us starting at 2:00 PM, play some cornhole, and get ready for kickoff for the game itself at 7:00 PM. We hope to see everyone there! Geaux Cajuns! by @ull_les_1898

LES members and College of Engineering students alike, get ready for this weekend's LES Beach Volleyball Tournament! Our officers have the Intramural Sports Complex at 500 Coliseum Road booked out so we can enjoy some good competition to see which department is the best (At beach volley ball). Come represent your disipline and bring your A game on this Saturday, September 26th, at 5:00 PM. Reminder! We will be hosting the tournament at the Intramural Sports Complex where each department will have a team compete with one another in a bracket for the number one position. Happy Labor Day weekend, everyone! ULL is stepping up its game for its first football game of the season! Come out to the tailgate tomorrow at 2:00 PM, Saturday September 5th, and show support to your departments and your college team. Departments will be set up in spots #1-3 in the football practice field adjacent to Lamson Park and the South East gates of Lourdes Stadium, in the back right corner. Various engineering department clubs plan to have a few waters and shade propped up to celebrate before the game starts, but bringing more to share with everyone to support the potluck would be awesome! Get ready for the Louisiana Engineering Society UL Student Chapter's first general meeting tonight, September 3rd in Rougeou Hall Room #324 at 5:30 PM! Our student officers will be discussing the club's responsibilitys and roles in our campus, and the opprotunitys presented to you to participate om campus with us. Food and drink will be provided to attendees so they can eat during the presentation. Orders for club tee shirts and polos will be open, and membership dues can be paid at our booth during the meeting. Otherwise, we're excited to see attendance from all engineering disciplines, and can't wait for you to see what makes UL engineering the best. Hope everyone is having a great first week back on campus! Last Saturday on the 22nd, our incoming freshman class attended the engineering freshman summer camp, where all departments in the college of engineering pitched in to host a new student event to help introduce everyone attending to the workings of our university. Ther were also games, demonstrstions, and networking between peers so students could meet their classmates in and out of their discipline. During the event, the Louisiana Engineering Society, LES for short, held a booth alongside other prominent student run engineering clubs backed by the university, and spoke with the students about what to expect and what they can get out of our organization. Our first meeting for LES will be held on September 3rd at 5:30 PM in Rougeou Hall's third floor. Right now, the room is still undecided, so look to our group me or a follow up instagram post for extra information. There will be an introductory to the organization and some food, so please drop by and see what LES is all about! Regardless, the event went spectacularly, and we can only thank everyone who participated to put it on and those who attended in great spirits for how well things went. Louisiana Professional Engineering and Land Surveying Board (LAPELS) was our first guest speaker with @ul_asme ! They spoke about the importance of taking the FE and PE exams and the opportunities that become available once doing so. They also provided 3 students with free year long access to the NCEES FE practice course! by @ull_les_1898
