SKUGGOR |
Cinematic Choreography at the Border Between Light and Shadow
AOS and Peter Svenzon has become known for its cinematic aesthetic and intense choreography, where dance, music and visual
elements merge into a unified whole, opening up new ways of experiencing the darkness and humanity of our contemporary
world. In their new work SKUGGOR, the company continues, in collaboration with artists from different disciplines, to
explore the space between body and environment, precision and impulse.
In SKUGGOR, it is the space between light and darkness that is given a voice. It is not the light that defines the figure, but the space left behind by the shadow. They are what we do not remember, never said,
or choose to forget. They are bodily memories, identity and belonging.
To encounter our shadow is to listen to the whisper of our deepest self.
