Dixie added joy, ease, comfort and love to our home. She was a sweet Pup and lived a great life. A happy and loved girl to her last breath. 🙏🏼🐾 r.i.p. Dixie of Venice taken in Venice, California by @ultimateshepherd

Thank you, Frank O Gehry RIP 🙏🏼
.

“I don’t know why people hire architects and then tell them what to do.”

“I had been pretending to be someone I wasn’t. The moment I stopped, the work changed.”

“I was trying to make buildings that were alive, not polite.”

“I was interested in the messiness of the everyday world. That’s what felt honest to me.”

“Everything I’ve ever done has been the result of insecurity and questioning.”

“I envied the artists—they didn’t apologize for who they were. I wanted that.”

“Los Angeles was raw, unfinished, wide open. Nobody cared what you did. That freedom shaped me.”

I came to LA in my 20’s because I thought it was a laboratory for architecture.
Been wanting to visit this inspired gem for years. It was worth the wait.
