What a year 2024 has been. Felt like I got my life back a bit.

To my wonderful partner, Nicole - you have brought so much light and energy into my life, and you have made this year so incredible. I love you!

To all the bands I got to see, thank you for the fun times, great vibes, and wonderful music. Huge shoutouts to @theghostinside @sim_japan @adtr and @blink182 for being the soundtrack to my year and making it so fun for me!

New York Part 2 this year was such a treat. Maybe I make it a trilogy next year??

To all my friends that I hang out with online and got to see this year (huge shoutout to Mo and Thomas (aka concert Mom and Dad) for bringing me along their ADTR tour journey!), thank you for being the beautiful humans that you are and may your next year on this journey we call life be even more exciting!

These are the best pics & vids from my first shows back in over 3 years. I purposely didn't take many, as I just wanted to take it all in and feel that energy in my body and spirit again. Live music is my therapy and a MASSIVE source of serotonin for me, and these lineups were UNBELIEVABLY STACKED. I got to check out new bands (what's up?! @spiritworldprophet @comebackkid_hc @foreignpainhc) tick off @hatebreedofficial on my concert bucket list of bands to see, and 2 NIGHTS OF MY FAVORITE BAND @theghostinside BACK 2 BACK. What a show to go to to be back around live music again. I can't wait for the next show, and the one after that, and then that show after THAT one... taken in Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas by @ultracitron_

10/3/19...

That was the date of the last concert I went to before the pandemic changed my life.
I had hit rock bottom in 2020. No shows, no social life, nothing.
I had lost 2 people very dear to my heart in the prior 4 years at that point - my best friend Ethan in 2017, and my stepdad James in 2019. All hope seemed lost, and honestly, there were nights I was at peace with the thought of never waking up again...

...but I would later find out that I was never truly alone.

I've known some of the people you see here as long as over 5 years because of a wonderful community called the StreamCrew. When The Ghost Inside was down and seemingly out after a bus accident in 2015, the band tried to find ways to keep in touch with fans. Their vocalist, @jonathanvigil ,began streaming games on Twitch. Overwatch was a big thing I was into back in 2017, and he happened to stream it fairly frequently, along with Hearthstone & Magic: The Gathering. When I came across his channel in August of 2017, I never knew how much over time how it would change my life.

The Ghost Inside are a band I've listened to since all the way back in 2010, but it was a album called "Get What You Give" that would change (and on three seperate occasions save) my life.
Through this, and all of those wonderful people in his chat, a bond was forged. And it's a bond I hold dear to my heart to this very day.

This weekend, I got to not only finally feel the rush and the joy of live music again, but I got to strengthen so many friendships and finally be able to meet SO MANY of those over the years that mean so very much to me.
I truly had found my second family.

A community I could truly call...home ❤️

12 years...

It's never easier as the years pass me by, but yet I know deep in my heart that your spirit, your voice and your memory will foREVer live on.

I wish I could have watched you play live...I with that I could have had the opportunity of a lifetime to have been able to shake your hand, give you the biggest hug I could muster and thank you for not only inspiring me to learn the drums and seek music as a career path, but also making music that saved me through some of the darkest times I ever experienced growing up as a boy throughout school. You taught me being different was badass. You taught me that it's ok to be yourself, to keep pushing for the things you love and to do it unapologetically. You still do today...

I hope I can make the journey to California one day to finally meet you at your Earthly resting place, give you a pair of my drumsticks and tell you the stories of how you changed my life. I'll make sure to leave you a Guinness there and we can share a drink together. Man, how awesome would that be?

I take comfort in the hope you got to meet my stepdad, Jim and that you guys are shooting pool, throwing darts and drinking lots of beer with Lemmy, Dio and so many others up there. All I ask is that when my time comes to make sure to leave a spot at the bar open between you and my stepfather. We'll have a lot of catching up to do by then (and plenty of drinking as well).

You will always be my hero and my inspiration.

It's been four years since you were taken from this world far too soon...

I miss the late night grinds on Infinite Warfare with my brothers in @skiratagaming, the late night karaoke sessions we had listening to Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Billy Talent. Our talks about life that stretched on til obscenely late hours into the morning. I miss hearing your voice and how it would absolutely light up a party as soon as you would join.
I only knew you for about 8 or 9 months, but it felt like I knew you for so much longer.

Even though I'm no longer an active member of SG, I have so much love for what @smead2942 has done for that organization since your passing and how he has done an incredible job keeping your memory and your legacy very much alive.

You are and ALWAYS will be my teammate, my duo...but most importantly, you will always be my brother.

I miss you, Ethan. I miss you so much...

You would've been 50 today...

Not a day goes by that I don't miss hearing your wonderful laugh while sharing a few cold ones with friends and family. Not a day goes by that when life got hard, I had you to turn to. You always knew what to say and how to say it, even if it was tough love. You were a Scotsman after all, and everyone knows Scotsman are fearless...just like you were.
As much as I want to cry until my eyes burn and as much as my heart hurts from the pain of not having you here, I know that's how you wouldn't want me to carry on living my life. You'd want me to remember you by all the memories we created together, and to do right by my family. After all, I made you that promise...and I'll live by that very promise until the time comes that I get to see you again.

I love you, and I miss you so, so much.
Tell my other favorite James I said I love him, too.

After 6 VERY long years, I got to go with my one of my best racing friends @pablo_santos916 to my favorite NASCAR track in the world

To finally see one of my heroes @bubbawallace in that beautiful @23xiracing @toyotaracing machine go to work was amazing and also seeing his best friend @ryanblaney10 pick up a win was also incredible to see 😁
