it was a crazy week in Montserratโ€ฆ having my morning coffee and cigarette while watching the fog dance between the mountains, sleeping in the basilica with the monks and of course all the beautiful souls i met along the way. sheโ€™ll probably never see this, but sending so much love and gratitude to Teresa Forcades for her Mediterrenian hospitality, she made me feel completely at home and to Gesine Palmer, who kept insisting that i should be there in the first place ๐Ÿค and the what ฤฑ remember from my talking protecting my friendsโ€™ dignity is easy. try protecting my enemyโ€™s too. thatโ€™s where it gets really if i wanna be a human taken in Monasterio De Monserrat, Barcelona by @umaisik

the pleasure i get from thinking about god is most closely matched by the pleasure i get from music. other kinds of pleasure feel more superficial compared to it. then i learned that the word music comes from the muses, beings connected to inspiration. the closest arabic concept is ilham, meaning inspiration. in sufism, ilham is a meaning that comes from god into the heart, and dhawq, or taste, is when the soul experiences that meaning. this made it more meaningful to me that, after talking about god, music is the thing that gives me the most pleasure. throughout history, people have also used music to support their relationship with god. hearing, which allows us to experience music, also has a special importance in islamic philosophy. the fact that there is no known deaf prophet in the history of the prophets has always made me think. by @umaisik
