SYDNEY’S DRUM & BASS SCENE IS ALIVE AND WELL 🤍

Saturday night was such a vibe. What a crowd, what a journey.

It’s an immense pleasure to work alongside our incredible local artists, venues and bringing touring artists like @polabryson to Sydney, and see it all come together on the dancefloor.

The energy, the people, the music — nights like this show just how special Sydney’s drum & bass community is.

Doing the walk for the @womens.girls.emergency.centre with these bass baddies was a pretty special way to spend a Sunday morning, even if we were all severely lacking in sleep because we bass baddied hard on Saturday night 😜

The whole process leading up to the walk was just as special. From putting the call out to see who wanted to join the team, to fundraising, to watching friends, family and our community get behind us with such generous donations and words of encouragement — I’m genuinely so grateful. 🫶

If you don't know, the reason we walked matters:

In Australia, more than 1 in 4 women have experienced family and domestic violence since the age of 15. That’s not an abstract statistic. That’s around 2.7 million women; and then there's the children, families, friends and communities whose lives are affected alongside them.

In 2024–25, one woman was killed by a current or former intimate partner every 11 days in Australia. In 2026, already over 40 women (that we know of) have been killed by a current or former intimate partner.

This walk was a small but meaningful way to stand alongside victim-survivors, raise awareness of this epidemic that is taking the lives of far too many women, and help fund the practical support that can make a real difference when someone is trying to find safety and rebuild their life.

Incredibly, our little team raised over $1,500 and the Walk for WAGEC community came together to raise over $1 million for women and children impacted by violence. 🤩

Also shout out to @dreadmaiden.audio who is not pictured here as she was not able to physically make the walk, but was a big part of the team and our fundraising efforts, and was very much there with us in spirit. 🙏

Big love to everyone who donated, shared, encouraged, walked, ran, or simply gave us a little hype along the way.
