I am deeply honored to be recognized as a Rising Star by @starchefs. Success is truly forged through the wisdom gained from overcoming challenges, and I am immensely grateful for the opportunities provided by @spiltmilktavern and @little_victories_chicago. Their partnership has allowed us to showcase our food and share our unique story. I extend my heartfelt thanks to my mentors and partners, @andrewjlim and @tomoh44 , for their invaluable guidance and support. Despite their busy schedules, they have continually reminded me of what it takes to achieve success. I am also grateful to my parents, who made the ultimate sacrifices so that my sister and I could pursue the American dream. Although they were initially apprehensive about my decision to leave a full-time finance career to focus on Umamicue, their tireless work ethic—juggling full-time jobs while managing an ice cream shop—has deeply influenced me. I am also thankful for their ongoing involvement, especially in crafting our delicious egg rolls and rangoons. Thank you to my partner and confidant, @meg_jonesy. Your unwavering support and belief in our vision have been instrumental in helping us continue to reach for our dreams. A huge thank you to our extraordinary team at Umamicue. The Breakfast Sandwich Club is excited to present an exceptional breakfast sando creation!! Our super buds at @Umamicue are coming to Bridgeport Saturday, Sept 5th from noon to 3pm-ish ( or when they sell out! ) The sando is made with: Smoked Char Siu Pork belly, hash brown, scrambled egg, sharp white cheddar, chili garlic mayo, scallion, sesame bun DO NOT MISS THIS SANDO!!!! Kimski will be open at Noon. Drinks available at Marias. And remember: The breakfast sandwich is the quintessential American morning masterpiece — eggs, cheese, and glorious breakfast meats like bacon or sausage, all united between two pieces of bread in perfect, delicious harmony. Every Saturday, we bring in a chef, restaurant, or breakfast sandwich druid to unleash their most legendary creations. The magic happens at Kimski every Saturday from Noon to 3pm (Bridgeport Breakfast Time — yes, it’s a thing). Also.. Club members get a shirt — because legends deserve gear. Jobs Finished ✅️ I fulfilled my lifelong (last 12 hours) dream of winning a rib fest trophy. Actually all the props goes to the best pitmaster in the land @umamicue for smoking our "Chi City" ribs to perfection and helping us take home the judge's choice award at @solemnoathbeer 's Wolfies Rib Fest. With that being said, it's time for me to step away from the rib game. It was a hell of a ride 🏆 by @umamicue
