POSTS STORIES REELS

Since 2018, we have carried this badge.

Different seasons. Different players. Different battles.
But the name has remained.

UMBALA FC.

Born in the UCT Internal Soccer League, this club has always been about more than football. It is about the people who came before us, the brothers beside us, and the responsibility to leave the badge stronger for those who come after.

The shield represents what we protect.
The spears represent what we fight for.

Every player who has worn these colours has added something to our story. Every match, every victory, every defeat and every season has built the legacy we carry today.

Now, we enter our next chapter.

Our ambition is clear:

Promotion to the Premier Division.

Not simply to arrive there, but to prove that we belong there.

We play for the badge.
We play for each other.
We play for everyone who has represented Umbala since 2018.

One shield. One brotherhood. One mission.

FIN. 🛡️⚔️

NO WORDS!!! WHAT A SEASON OF FOOTBALL! ❤️🖤

After 6 months of football, countless battles, unforgettable moments and a whole lot of passion, the curtain finally falls on our season.

To the boys, nothing but appreciation for the continued effort, commitment and fight shown week in and week out. Through the highs, the lows, the last-minute winners and the heartbreaks, this group never stopped showing up for each other and giving everything for the badge.

To our ULTRAS, the heartbeat of this club, THANK YOU! ❤️ From the first whistle of the season to the very last, you consistently showed up, made noise and stood behind the boys regardless of the result. Football is nothing without its supporters, and you’ve made this season one to remember!

Yesterday’s defeat to Washed Athletic wasn’t the fairytale ending we’d hoped for, but it takes absolutely nothing away from what we’ve achieved this season. We came, we competed, we made our presence felt, and we leave with our heads held high.

Could things have gone differently? Absolutely. Would we change a thing? NOT A CHANCE!

A few more functions and celebrations remain before we officially close the chapter, but as far as the league is concerned, we walk away proud of our efforts, happy with our results and with ABSOLUTELY NO REGRETS!

To everyone who played a part in this journey, THANK YOU.

Until we meet again. Same badge. Same brotherhood. Bigger ambitions.

THE LAST LINEUPS OF THE SEASON! 🛡️⚔️

So many things can be said about the last 6 months of football. Players have come and gone, memories have been made, and some transformations still need explaining. 😂

We signed Jason when he was blonde, and somewhere along the way he went bald. Was it to hide from the refs? Was it for aerodynamics? The world may never know. 👨‍🦲💨

But none of that matters now.

ONE LAST GAME. ONE LAST DANCE. 🕺🏽

ONE LAST DANCE. 🛡️⚔️

After 16 games, 6 months of football, and countless battles on the pitch, we’ve finally reached the end of the road.

This Sunday marks the final game of the season, not just for Umbala, but for the entire league. Our final opportunity to leave a mark on the 2026 season.

ONE LAST TIME, SPEARS UP, SHIELDS DOWN! 🛡️⚔️ by @umbalafc

DESTINY DELAYED, NOT DENIED! 🛡️⚔️

After a heartbreaking draw at the death this past weekend, our hopes of promotion have officially come to an end.

All we can say is THANK YOU! ❤️🖤

It’s been an absolute honour to compete week in and week out. To find ourselves in a promotion race right up until the final weekend speaks volumes about the quality, character and commitment of this group of players. What a season it’s been!

A special thank you to @uctinternalsoccerleague !👏

Not too many seasons ago, we were guaranteed 4–6 cancelled fixtures, hour-long delays and the occasional luxury of a linesman. The growth in the league’s professionalism, organisation and overall quality has been incredible to witness. It’s raised the standard of competition and brought out the very best in every team involved. Credit where it’s due!

To the WAGs, supporters, everyone behind the scenes and our fellow competitors, thank you for being part of the journey! ❤️

And to our rivals… we know you okes were getting a little emotional at the thought of us leaving you behind, so you’ve been given another year of our company. 😈

THE SPEARS AREN’T GOING ANYWHERE!

We’ve still got ONE MORE GAME THIS SUNDAY, and you best believe we intend to finish what we started. More on that soon! 👀

🚨 THE LINEUPS ARE OUT! 🛡️⚔️🎃

2 games left. 6 points to play for. ALL TO FIGHT FOR.

It may have taken a little longer than expected, but one thing’s for certain, THE LEAGUE KNOWS ABOUT UMBALA NOW! 🩸

With the season drawing to a close, the boys are on the hunt for every last point available. The mission remains the same.

🎃 SPOOKY SEASON & 2 MORE GAMES LEFT! 🛡️⚔️

With the longest active winning streak in the league, the Spears are looking to keep the momentum rolling and put ourselves in contention for a little luck to fall our way! 👀🍀

PROMOTION IS STILL THE GOAL! 🏆

Our fate may no longer be entirely in our hands, but one thing we CAN control is our results. And with just two games remaining, there’s no room for tricks, only treats! 🎃

Bring on the next victims for slaughter. 🩸⚔️

2 GAMES. 6 POINTS. ONE FINAL PUSH.

UP THE FLIPPING SHIELDS AND SPEARS! 🛡️⚔️

Oke was swinging his weight around the field, look at this heat map!

Shoutout to all the admins for making this season fun while some of us are injured 🙂‍↕️ by @umbalafc

Last week admins were losing their minds, cashing in checks their players couldn’t afford - we keep receipts this side!!

Tough in the tweets, sweet on the streets!!!

Enjoy the last game of your season this weekend gents🤝🏾 by @umbalafc
