A Quiet Shift

Softly drifting across the surface, these designs evoke the gentle movement of wind, water, and stone shaped by time. Featured in the latest quartz collection from Pompeii Quartz and Vicostone, this family of movement embraces a more understated expression of pattern, one that feels effortless, airy, and deeply romantic.

Rather than commanding attention with bold contrast, these surfaces rely on nuanced veining and delicate tonal variation to create depth and intrigue. The effect is serene yet sophisticated, bringing a sense of softness and quiet luxury to interiors. Rooted in elemental beauty, they offer a refined backdrop for spaces that prioritize warmth, light, and a more relaxed approach to contemporary living.

A Quiet Shift

Defined by linear movement, these surfaces convey a sense of rhythm, direction, and modern refinement. Their elongated veins guide the eye across the composition, creating a natural flow that feels both intentional and dynamic.

Drawing inspiration from the layered formations and striations found in nature, this movement family transforms quartz into an evocative expression of natural stone. Elegant and architectural, these designs bring depth, structure, and visual continuity to a space, making them a compelling choice for interiors that embrace a more contemporary aesthetic.

Some materials bring the whole room into focus. Fantasy Brown in a leathered finish does exactly that in this beautiful office.

Its natural movement draws the eye, while the textured surface adds depth and a tactile quality that makes the design feel rich and layered. Sophisticated, with plenty of personality.

Stone selection is as much about the finish as it is about the pattern. This office is a beautiful reminder of how much character both can bring to a space.

Save this for your next project, explore Fantasy Brown with our UMI stone specialists.

Calacattas, but make it honed! 🤍

Three distinct looks with one beautiful detail in common: a smooth, matte finish. Each brings its own veining and movement, while the honed surface gives the stone a softer, more understated feel.

Which one would you choose for your next project?

There’s something special about a home where every room is allowed to have its own personality, yet everything still feels beautifully connected.

Designed by Linda Donnelly, this residence uses stone to create a different experience from one space to the next. The bar makes the boldest entrance, fully clad in Luci d’Oro marble—expressive, energetic and filled with movement. In the kitchen, sweeping veining from Calacatta Gold Macchia Vecchia brings softness and scale to the warm cabinetry, while Crystal Lake Quartz gives the office a crystalline richness that feels sophisticated without competing with its moodier wood tones.

As the home unfolds, the material story becomes quieter and more organic. Along the staircase and throughout the bathrooms, warm woods, soft neutrals and tactile surfaces come together in a way that feels natural, calm and genuinely inviting.

UMI stone brings character to every corner of this home, but never in exactly the same way. It’s layered, expressive and elevated, while still feeling like a place made for everyday life—and that may be our favorite kind of luxury.

If fall had an interior palette, it would look a lot like this.

As the season shifts, so does the palette. Deeper tones, richer woods, layered textures and natural stone with warmth and movement start to feel especially right.

From the depth of Emperador Brown Dark to the softer movement of Breccia Aurora Blu and the glow of Cristallo Earth, each material brings something different while sharing the same grounded, inviting feel.

It’s less about changing everything for the season and more about choosing materials that naturally make a space feel warmer, richer and more collected.
