Michigan football is back, the weather is almost cooperating (at least it's sunny?!🥵), and UMDC has a packed calendar of events to bring area Wolverines together this month.

From the kick-off of football season to community service, book club, group fitness and happy hour, there’s something for everyone in September!

Michigan Football is back! 〽️🏈

The 2026 season kicks off Saturday, September 5 at 7:30 PM, and we’re excited to announce the official UMDC game watch locations for the season.

Grab your maize & blue and join fellow Wolverines for every game and these DC and VA locations:

🔵 The Midlands — Park View

Family- and dog-friendly, with indoor & outdoor TVs with sound. Look for Go Blue shots, Raised by Wolverines IPA from Right Proper, Bell’s bucket specials, and halftime hoists during Oktoberfest! 🎉

Calling all Michiganders & card sharks! ✋♠️

Join DC Wolverines and DC Spartans for an outdoor* Euchre Tournament on Tuesday, October 6 from 6:30–8:30 PM at Midlands (3333 Georgia Ave NW, Washington, DC).

Whether you’re a seasoned euchre pro or have never played a hand, this event is for you!

♥️ Social-style tournament (we’ll pair up individuals who need partners)
♣️ Lessons at 6:15 PM for beginners

Back by popular demand: Monuments by Moonlight—Fall Edition! 🍂🌕

Join UMDC for one of Washington, D.C.'s most iconic experiences—exploring the monuments under the stars! ✨

📍 Meet at the Washington Monument

We'll kick off the evening with a bring-your-own picnic 🧺on the northeast side of the Washington Monument before taking a memorable walk along the National Mall to see the monuments beautifully lit at night. 🌙

On Saturday, we united in solidarity with UM alumni to welcome Michigan veterans on their Honor Flight as they arrived in DC to visit the monuments to their great sacrifices. by @umichdc

It may only be early fall, but the winter theater scene is already heating up! 🔥🎭

First up: Alicia Keys’ acclaimed Broadway musical Hell’s Kitchen, coming to the National Theatre on December 2!

Hell’s Kitchen is a story about finding yourself, discovering your purpose, and the people who lift you up along the way. And, of course, the music is a major part of the experience—with a mix of Alicia Keys’ greatest hits and new music written especially for the show! 🎶

Where: The National Theatre

Seats: We’ve reserved a block of great balcony seats just for our group!
