Dar al Islam is a stunning mosque hidden in the American desert of New Mexico 🏜️ 🕌 #MosqueOfTheWeek

Nestled among the red rock landscapes of Abiquiú, Dar al Islam was designed by renowned Egyptian architect Hassan Fathy and completed in 1982.

Built using traditional adobe construction techniques, the mosque blends Islamic architectural principles with the natural beauty of the American Southwest, creating one of the most unique places of worship in the United States.

Dar al Islam was originally envisioned as part of one of America’s first planned Muslim communities, serving as a center for worship, education, and cultural exchange.

Today, the site remains active, hosting retreats, educational programs, and spiritual gatherings while welcoming visitors from across the country.

“Allah” can be seen etched into the side of Mount Uhud in Madinah, Saudi Arabia. ⛰️

The inscription is visible from above and has drawn attention from visitors and pilgrims for years.

Mount Uhud is one of Islam’s most significant landmarks and was the site of the historic Battle of Uhud in 625 CE, where many companions of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ were m*rtyred.

The Prophet ﷺ held a special love for Uhud and famously said, “Uhud is a mountain that loves us and we love it.”

Today, millions of Muslims visit the mountain while in Madinah and reflect on its enduring place in Islamic history.

Meet Dr. Adam Hamawy, the surgeon who went to G*za and is now leading a race for Congress.🩺

To be a Muslim doctor in America is to carry both a scalpel and a conscience. @hamawyfornj responded to Ground Zero on 9/11, treated the wounded in war zones across the world, and then went to G*za — and what he witnessed there made silence impossible.

Now he’s running for Congress in New Jersey, leading in the polls, and refusing to let Washington look away.

Don’t forget the names of the heroes that protected hundreds of lives at the Islamic Center of San Diego.

Amin Abdullah. Mansoor Kaziha. Nadir Awad.

These three men fell victim to a terror*st attack that took place Monday, when two gunmen plotted a shooting at the Islamic Center of San Diego.

Because of their bravery, they protected children and prevented many casualties.

May Allah SWT grant them the highest ranks of Jannah. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon. 🤲🏽
