Nor-View Farm has welcomed four Narragansett turkey chicks as its newest residents! ⁠

The Narragansett is a historic American heritage breed that was even raised at George Washington's Mount Vernon estate. Visitors to the farm can watch these young poults grow while learning about the important role heritage breeds have played in American agriculture.⁠

John Hampton (1842–1925), one of Upper Merion Township’s prominent nineteenth-century citizens, resided on his farm along the Valley Forge Road–Henderson Road corridor while operating a successful agricultural enterprise in the area. A progressive farmer and respected public servant, Hampton served as an Upper Merion Township supervisor before representing Montgomery County as a county commissioner. His agricultural leadership and civic service established him as a well-known figure in the township’s rural history. Later local historical accounts identify his property as the 88-acre “Kenilworth Farm” (current-day township building complex and portions of the Candlebrook neighborhood), associated with the former Hampton farmstead, reflecting its place within the agricultural landscape of Upper Merion during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.⁠

Have questions about your sewer bill? Here are a few helpful reminders:⁠

When are sewer bills sent?⁠
Residential sewer utility bills are mailed twice a year — January 1 and July 1 — and cover the previous two quarters.⁠
⁠
How is my bill calculated?⁠
For residential properties, the sewer utility fee is a flat rate and is not based on water usage.⁠
⁠
Who is responsible for payment?⁠
Sewer bills are a utility charge, not a tax, and most mortgage companies do not pay sewer bills through escrow. Property owners should plan to pay their sewer bill directly.⁠

Ways to pay:⁠
Payments can be made online through the Township’s sewer billing payment system or by following the payment instructions provided with your bill.⁠

Did you know? In Upper Merion Township, pet owners are responsible for immediately cleaning up after their dogs when they're out for a walk. If your dog relieves itself on a sidewalk, curb, street, park, or someone else's property, you must remove the waste and dispose of it properly.⁠

A quick cleanup helps keep our parks, neighborhoods, and sidewalks clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.⁠

- Bring waste bags on every walk.⁠
- Pick it up right away.⁠
- Dispose of it in a trash receptacle or at home.⁠

- A Building Permit Application⁠
- A Shed Addendum with a plot plan showing the shed location and distances from property lines⁠
- An Impervious Surface Breakdown Form⁠
- A Stormwater Class A Permit for new impervious surface coverage⁠

Lafayette Ambulance and Rescue Squad⁠
⁠
For 57 years, the Lafayette Ambulance and Rescue Squad served as the community lifeline of King of Prussia and Upper Merion Township. Organized in 1961 through the efforts of local civic leaders and the Kiwanis Club of Valley Forge and incorporated in 1962, the all-volunteer organization began operations with a single International ambulance housed at the Kunda Sign Company location. As the township experienced rapid commercial and residential growth, the squad expanded its services to include advanced life support (ALS) paramedics. After responding to thousands of emergency calls over nearly six decades, the nonprofit dissolved in 2019, with its emergency medical responsibilities assumed by the then newly established Upper Merion Fire & Emergency Medical Services Department⁠
