Welcome to Un/Anti-(SLAM)!

Poetry is coming to Cementa 26. Swipe for details.

What is Un/Anti-(SLAM)?
At its core it’s a poetry slam – a place to come and share your poetry, with a chance to win prizes that help you develop as an artist.
It keeps our favourite parts of poetry slam – sharing words, celebrating diverse voices – and ditches the parts we don’t like so much. This slam won’t assign numerical value to your work, and the winners will be democratically chosen by a whole audience of judges.

Come and join us for the Cementa 26 un/Anti-(SLAM) at 2PM, 19 September 2026, at The Globe Hotel, Rylstone. Register for a place or send any questions to un.anti.slam@gmail.com. taken in The Globe Hotel, Rylstone by @unantislam

Register for un/Anti-(SLAM)! Send us an email at un.anti.slam@gmail.com or send us a cheeky DM. We would love to hear your words, whether you're a first time poet or you're an old (stage) hand.

3 minutes to perform -- the audience gives points to their favourites, so there is no public scoring.

Hanna shares her deep love of the inspired and crafted word through her uplifting poems, which capture everything from the sublime to the absurd. She is a passionate educator and writer who believes we all have an inner poet just waiting to come forth!

Since completing a workshop with Luka Lesson in 2020, she has not looked back—attending regular poetry retreats, teaching poetry and play writing, and sharing her work at local slams, open mics and poetry groups.
She runs regular writing workshops for the community and initiated both the Rylstone Globe Poetry Slam, in conjunction with Paul Flynn @theglobehotelrylstone, and un/Anti-(SLAM) @unantislam, in conjunction with Jeremiah Gooseberrye @jgooseberrye.

She finds powerful word combinations sublime—and writing bios with self-conscious selfies absurd!

Hanna will be running the Ekphrastic Writing Workshop at @cementafestival meeting at 1pm, Cementa HQ on Friday 18 September followed by a pop-up set! by @unantislam
