Locked in and grinding like there’s no tomorrow. No breaks, no distractions—just pure hustle and relentless focus.

Hunting with a spear is intense. He was quartered away & I had to thread the needle through some roots with my spear to make a good hit. The footage on this one is crazy.

Hunting is A God given right. HUNT PROUDLY.

“The fear and dread of you will fall on all the beasts of the earth, and on all the birds in the sky, on every creature that moves along the ground, and on all the fish in the sea; they are given into your hands.
Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything” Genesis 9:2-3

Hunting quietly? I respectfully disagree.

The idea that we should hide trophy photos, stay silent about our hunts, or avoid showing anything that might make someone uncomfortable—because it could “give hunting a bad name”—sounds well-intentioned. But it leads somewhere I can’t follow.

Hunting isn’t a hobby I do on weekends. It’s part of who I am. It ties me to the land, to conservation, to the people who taught me, and to a tradition older than any of us. I’m not going to bury that because it might offend someone.

We don’t tell people to hide their other passions, careers, or accomplishments just because someone somewhere might disagree. Why should hunting be different?

The real danger is the slow retreat. First, no trophy photos. Then maybe no game recipes. Then camouflage in public looks bad. Then talking about hunting around non-hunters is inappropriate. Then we stop showing kids what it actually looks like. Eventually hunting becomes something we’re expected to keep completely out of sight.

I’m not saying every hunt needs to be posted or that photos have to be graphic. Respect your audience. But don’t confuse respect with shame.

Hunting needs advocates—people willing to explain why they hunt, where their food comes from, what conservation dollars actually do, and why this tradition still matters. Participation has already dropped. At a time when we need the next generation, making hunting invisible is the last thing we should do.

I want kids to see the excitement, the work, the respect for the animal, the meals that follow, and yes—the hunter standing next to a big buck with a real smile. Not because I’m proud of killing something, but because I’m proud of everything that moment represents: the early mornings, the failures, the lessons, the freezer full of meat, and the connection to something bigger.

We don’t save hunting by hiding it. We save it by hunting ethically, talking honestly, teaching it well, and having the guts to say:

“Yes, I hunt. I’m proud of it. And I’m not going to hide it.”

Hunt responsibly. Hunt ethically. Hunt respectfully.

Just don’t ever be ashamed of it. by @unbound_dawa

If the “the history of the bow & arrow is the history of mankind” where does that leave the spear? 🤔

Mowing the lawn and decided to make one cast… ended up landing a nice bass on the first try! Always bring a pole when you’re working near the water 😂 Who else keeps fishing gear on their mower?

A mature Kansas whitetail buck locks onto my @davesmithdecoys buck decoy — and what happens next will blow your mind. Watch this mature buck size up, posture, and absolutely demolish the decoy in one intense encounter caught on camera during bow season.

This whitetail rut action shows just how territorial mature bucks get when they think another intruder is in their area. Perfect decoy setup, perfect timing — pure Kansas bowhunting adrenaline. by @unbound_dawa
