IT’S ALIVE! IT’S ALIVE! ⚡️🧟‍♂️

Something wicked has taken over Blue Door, and the monsters are officially out to play!

For Nightmare on Mint Street, I decided to dig up some of Universal’s most iconic monsters and bring them back from the dead, one cocktail at a time.

Eight monsters, eight cocktails, and plenty of tricks, treats, and things that go bump in the night.

A little spooky, a little creepy, and a whole lot of Halloween magic. Everything I love about this time of year, poured into a glass.

The crypt is open all October long, so dust off your cobwebs, crawl out of your coffin, and come raise a little hell with us.

Nightmare on Mint Street
Now haunting Blue Door through October 31
1508 S Mint St., Charlotte

Come thirsty. Leave haunted. 👻

Our Creative Director, Mike Guzmán, was recently featured in @vinepair’s latest piece exploring the evolving conversation around bartender guest shifts and what they mean for the industry.

Mike shares his perspective rooted in what we believe guest shifts can do best: bring new voices to Charlotte, create opportunities for education and exchange, and give our community access to new experiences.

The article explores both sides of the conversation and the ways guest shifts can either reinforce industry circles or help expand them.

We’re proud to see Mike representing Charlotte and Blue Door in the conversation.

Last night, in one of our favorite cities, I proposed to my best friend.

Three years ago, we met competing against each other at @worldclassus . Neither of us could have known that one competition in this crazy industry would completely change the course of our lives.

Since then, we’ve grown together, pushed each other, traveled together, celebrated the wins, made it through the hard shit, and built a life together that I wouldn’t trade for anything.

The last three years with you have been life-changing in the best possible way. Somewhere between all the bars, competitions, late nights, flights, adventures, and chaos, you became the person I couldn’t imagine doing any of this without.

Duckie, you’re my best friend, my partner, dog mom and now my fiancée.

I can’t imagine doing this life without you, and I can’t wait to see where it takes us next.
