We are excited to host the Silly Goose’s for their PUPPET SLAM SPOOKTACULAR open mic happening at Uncanny Art House on October 17 with sign ups starting at 7 PM. Be prepared to experience something unusual where every performance includes a puppet and special video performances will be included.

Puppets will be available to use or you can make one from our new project library.

“Here Today, Gone Tomorrow” by @wolfbat and as hosted by @resonator_art kicks off tonight between Porter and Crawford on Main. The street will be closed for this portion of Art Walk as there will be a giant puppet parade accompanied by story and song.

Last night there was a private, invite-only @nongrataperformance at @uncannyarthouse for those who wanted to experience performance art. A catalogue of their work will be up at Uncanny Art House this evening through Saturday.

Saturday sees a metal making workshop at @lazycirclesbrewing

This is the 1st of a 2 part class series with the 2nd event on the 16th being the metal pour.

Grateful for the opportunity to celebrate public art in @edo_norman this last weekend and wanted to thank everyone for stopping by! This has been an ongoing project and I wanted to share details about how I’m planning to keep this project going for the future! You can find more information at the link in the bio!

This project has been selected to be part of the @paseoartsdistrict FEAST! I will be pitching for funding alongside 4 other creatives to receive financial support from the community. On October 13 I get five minutes to make the case for turning this space into a rotating mural gallery, and the room votes with a token at the end of the night. There are two ways you can help me to grow a creative ecosystem that supports artists, businesses, and the visitors who will come back to appreciate the changing art in this space!

-Grab a ticket if you want to be in the room to vote for this initiative and invest in the Walker Arts District’s future! Dinner is included!

Every muralist here came through an open call to paint during Ink the Block Party and was paid a $500 honorarium, and their work now resides in the Lot. The featured artists for 2026 are @vamoosemamoose @delovesrobotsart @danrockyy and @baileyhoffner . The goal is to build something where artists do not just get paid one time and newer muralists get the chance to grow their portfolios and develop their practice! Next year we will be adding more murals to the space!

Thank you to Solon, Matthew, and Becca for believing in this idea, and to all the businesses in the area that worked with me on this first event! You will find all of them listed below!

Installing with Al Paldrok at the gallery this week as we prepare for Norman 2nd Friday in downtown Norman, Oklahoma! Traveling all the way from Estonia, Al and his crew are part of Non Grata, an international art performance group that has been traveling the world since the 90s sharing challenging and progressive works that span performance, printmaking, video, and photo.

The show is open for one weekend only at the gallery and this is the weekend to see it!!!

We have several activities planned for the first Party Walls! Businesses in the area will be open and some featuring specials when you bring in your passport for a stamp! Cards turned in at the event by 8:30 will be entered for the prize drawing!

@elsazonlatin_grill will be bringing out their food truck so you can grab a bite and a beer at @lazycirclesbrewing ! This is an all ages event and we will have plenty of activities for the kiddos too!

This is the last weekend of our current exhibition from @creativegiles !!! Our 4th Friday Film tonight is about the Polaroid dilemma.

In 2008, Polaroid announced it would stop manufacturing instant film. This was a format that had shaped how the world made pictures for six decades and was given an expiration date, and the machines that produced it were scheduled for scrap.

The film moves between the final months on the factory floor in Enschede, the Netherlands, and the group of former employees, engineers, artists, and collectors who refused to let the chemistry disappear along with the equipment. Among them is The Impossible Project, which bought the last of the machinery and spent a year attempting to reinvent a film that no one had ever built from the ground up, working without the original formulas and without most of the original suppliers.

Featuring artists and technicians who spent careers inside the medium, including Chuck Close and John Reuter of the Polaroid 20x24 Studio, the film is a record of stubbornness. It is a portrait of what people are willing to do to keep a physical, imperfect, unrepeatable image possible in a moment when photography had gone almost entirely to the screen.

Directed by Grant Hamilton.

The screening is free and open to the public.
