The UNCG Percussion Ensembles will present their Spring 2026 Concert on Tuesday, April 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Tew Recital Hall.

This program features special guest and UNCG SOM alumnus Dr. Adam Snow (DMA 2016), who will perform a selection of Shona songs on mbira dzavadzimu alongside guest artist Dr. David Aarons and UNCG percussion students. The concert will conclude with an engaging set with Dr. Snow and the UNCG Pop Percussion Ensemble.

In addition, the classical ensembles—directed by Dr. McKayla Phillips, Joe Turner, and Aaron Hyatt—will present works by John Cage, Elliot Cole, Julie Davila, Jlin, Caleb Pickering, and Caroline Shaw. The evening will also highlight the Maracatu Percussion Group, with all members sharing music from northeastern Brasil.
We invite you to join us for an exciting and diverse evening of percussion—we would love to see you there!
