Ticketlink in bio. Experiencing from the beginning, step by step, the evolution of the electronic scene in Montevideo and influenced since very young by the most avant-garde sounds, nowadays there’s no doubt whatsoever about his being the most relevant model in the Uruguayan scene, after the great influence he has already stamped in several generations of local artists. Certain dj’s manage to go beyond the barrier of just playing music and create an atmosphere with a different energy, a result of mixing good music selection, according to each moment, and an exquisite technique to mix it.

These are two features that have marked Eduardo Cardozo aka DJ KOOLT and MR. KOOLT since his very beginnings. Dj Koolt is one of the greatest exponents of the Uruguayan underground scene and a faithful collector of vinyl records. He also earned an European recognition by playing in many great parties such as FUSE (Brussels), Closer (Kiev), Club Eden (Bucharest), Closer (Kiev), Cartulis Music (London), Concrete (Paris), RED58 (Barcelona), OHM and Hoppetosse (Berlin), Goa (Rome) and much more. Playing for 20 friends at an after-hours or for 1000 people at some club, one can easily recognize Edu by a natural characteristic of his: the connection and the trance he is able to create in his audience.
In 2013, he and two friends opened Phonotheque, the only club 100% devoted to Underground electronics in Uruguay. Few months after opening, Phonotheque became an important reference point at a national and international level and promoting their own style and distancing itself from conventional electronic music. taken in BLITZ Music Club by @unchained.ooo

Ticketlink in bio. Born in Diadema, Roniere Santos launched his DJ career in 2010, drawing influence from the local experience and infusing Brazilian rhythms and percussive elements into his work. RHR’s unique blend of percussive soundscapes is gaining prominence in Brazil and worldwide. Continuously delving into São Paulo’s diverse stimuli, the artist showcases his research across genres like techno, bass, dancehall, electro, and baile funk. With five solo EPs and a collaboration with Danny Daze, Roniere is gearing up for a new release to share his artistic vision further. Beyond collaborations with labels like Mamba Rec, Omnidisc, Pac Recs, and Nice and Deadly, RHR is an integral part of the New York-based label TIJOLO Records. His capacity to transform amidst challenges positions him as a potentially liberating force, maintaining his unique characteristics, references, and artistic ideas. taken in BLITZ Music Club by @unchained.ooo

Ticketlink in bio. Ogazón is an artist that embodies the spirit of the music she plays. Releasing all inhibitions, she pours herself totally into her performances. Her approach is one of careful consideration, with the audience’s journey at its heart. Deeply sensitive to the subtle and contextual nature of electronic music, she is equally adept at presenting both house and techno, often rendering the perceived boundary between them non-existent. With forward-facing music that propels, she’s able to make creative progress in an already well-established art form while remaining true to its fundamentals -the mark of a student passionate about their subject matter. taken in BLITZ Music Club by @unchained.ooo

w/ @quelza_m Ticketlink in bio. Quelza (real name Léo Naït Aïssa), was born at the end of the 90s in the Parisian suburbs. Lulled in the arts since his childhood, his connection with music is made at an early age. But it’s in 2013 that he made his first encounter with the Parisian electronic scene which inspired him to start producing his own tracks. Quelza is assiduous when it comes to his music – his releases on labels like Mord Records, Palinoia, 47, Hayes Collective and others, push an unorthodox crystal clarity and cinematic sound design that has become his signature as an artist – which, combined with his unique DJ sets, has earned him a spot at some of the most prestigious clubs in Berlin (where he is currently based) and abroad, such as: Berghain, Tresor, Fabric London, Awakenings, Dekmantel, Ratherlost, Bassiani and several more. Quelza, counts as one of the most satisfyingly mature young guns to emerge out the new wave of techno artists that’s been unfurling in recent times, with a panoramic view into his mental multiverse. Championing layered techno wares laced with a breaksy, IDM-informed touch that packs a punch, the Frenchman keeps on carving out a distinctive,shape-shifting signature, switching scopes and angles as he ups the rhythmic pressure with every next sequence. taken in BLITZ Music Club by @unchained.ooo

w/ @james__holden & @zimpelwaclaw Ticketlink in bio. British synth wizard James Holden meets Polish clarinet guru Waclaw Zimpel to form Holden & Zimpel: a collaborative alliance wherein these two versatile modern composers might explore their deepest improvisational urges in an intimate setting, to strikingly lush, hypnotic and deeply emotive effect. Two like- minded masters of their instrument come together in an in-the-moment lyrical conversation between alto clarinet and modular synth, cementing the joyful convergence of two disparate musical journeys in an explosion of raw musical creativity in its most primal form. Ultimately it is around a shared love of all things hypnotic and trancey where Holden and Zimpel’s paths converge. Trance is the common thread which runs through their musical predilections, as heard in traditional folk forms the world over, twentieth century minimalism, electronic dance music and improvised jazz alike, and their music exists at the point where all of this good stuff collides. You are invited to join them in trance space. Long established in their own respective fields of electronica and jazz, Holden & Zimpel’s paths would first cross at the 2018 edition of The Hague’s Rewire Festival, where mutual feelings of respect drove the pair to seek each other out for an introduction. taken in BLITZ Music Club by @unchained.ooo

KATIA CURIE / @katiacurie
NIZAR SARAKBI / @nizar_sarakbi
STELLA ZEKRI / @stellasnacks

We transform the dining room of our Blitz Bar & Bistro into a bubbling ballroom on Sunday night, as we move back into Blitz and prepare for more hours and hours of delirious dancing way into Monday morning! Soundtracking the final stretch & grand finale: the eclectic Stella Zekri, with a firm focus on emotion over genre tags and rigid BPMs. Her sets ooze warmth and soul, spanning House, Disco, New Beat, Trance, Jazz, Hip-Hop and beyond—Zekri plays from the heart. Joining her is a Viennese trio infernale of selectors and tastemakers: Kartia Curie, Nizar Sarakbi, and Felix Rupprecht. While the first two are part of Vienna’s Sonic Resistance crew, the latter is a key figure within the Lighthouse Festival team. What unites the trio is an in-depth understanding of what makes a great party, and a well-informed passion for turn-of-the-millennium sounds between House and Techno! taken in BLITZ Music Club by @unchained.ooo

MUALLEM / @dmuallem
Unchained’s PLUS floor is all about buoyant beats at the intersection of House, Techno, and Tech House. Among the stellar cast: DJ Koolt. The Uruguayan selector has been instrumental in shaping his home country’s reputation for minimalist Tech House finesse. Representing Munich’s Different Times label and party series are David Hornung and Javier Gallardo, bringing their charismatic, back-to-basics take on sleek and reduced Techhouse to the floor. Bridging past and present, classic and progressive perspectives on the Chicago sound and it’s vivid offshoots is Bennet. The German upstart is building a reputation for his multifaceted blend vibrant and effervescent House. Former Munich resident Lara Fein, co-founder of the > cancelled < series, moves seamlessly between leftfield excursions and sensuous, sharp-edged House, while evol peeD keeps things smooth and unhurried with a decidedly laid-back, groove-focused approach. Last but not least, our very own Muallem—who knows Blitz inside out—closes the circle. A House head at heart, he spins warm, rolling cuts to gather the community on dancefloor, always ready to share the groove’s best-kept secrets. taken in BLITZ Music Club by @unchained.ooo
