I always thought cars were cool growing up, but that was the extent of it. On April 19, 2019, teenage me went to the NYIAS with my dad and the moment I saw @dylan.built FD RX7 my life changed forever.
Fast forward a few years and now my life is built around these machines. My friends, my job, my brain. Through the good times, tickets, broken parts, being stuck on the side of the road, hanging out in empty parking lots until the sun comes up; I wouldn’t want it any other way.
It’s crazy for me to think that if it weren’t for this one specific car my life probably wouldn’t be the way it is. Now every day I wake up I get to live out the dream I saw on that day.
And yes, the next one I buy will be an RX7 😁

Finally got to enjoy the 🚀 for the first time in 6 months.
Fresh motor feels good and the livery from @look.spec was the cherry on top, I’m in love with this thing again! Installed by @_capturedbyalex .
And a hugeee thank you to @anthrazit_x3 for helping guide me on figuring out what parts to use in the new motor and how to assemble it properly. Let’s see how much I can improve as a driver this season 💪🏽 by @unclapped46

M54 / M52TU Dual Vanos rebuild is almost therapeutic after doing everything else on the motor.
@beisansystems makes a great kit that includes everything you need to eliminate axial and radial play from work components as well as upgraded o rings to make the unit work as good as the day it left the factory .

I guess you could say phase 1 of the swap is complete 💪🏽
Parts car is fully torn down and gone, and the donor motor is all cleaned up and ready for disassembly. It will be torn down the rest of the way this weekend.
While I’m still undecided on exactly how far this build is going to go, I know I want it to last and make a lot more juice than the last one. It will be getting a ton of maintenance and upgrades before I drop it into the 330. Also threw in some clips of me installing the Euro / S54 oil filter housing, which will let me run an oil cooler on a pretty factory style setup.
