POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I know this may be hard for some of you to believe but i was HOMELESS FOR 10 YEARS.

I gave up on life and myself and decided i would become a CRACKHEAD.

For 10 years i lived at MacArthur BART station selling crocheted hats i made to support my habit.

Even while homeless i still had a passion for taking pictures and i stole a compact Canon to take these pictures cuz i knew one day i would go back to living my life as i should and i wanted to be able to look back and remember a time when i was at my lowest because i needed to know how far ive come since then.

There was even a BOOK WRITTEN ABOUT ME and a few news articles during my time on the streets.

I get asked a lot about if I had the chance to do it all over again would i and my answer has ALWAYS been YES!!

My time living on the streets, doing crack and eating out of garbage cans taught me so much and has made me APPRECIATE the life i have now.

If there is one regret i have, it’s how i hurt my family during that time of my life and that’s something i would not want to do again.

Living on the streets not only taught me so much but i met so many AMAZING people, some of which im good friends with now.

To look back on these pictures and see where im at now is truly a BLESSING🙏🏾

I not only have a good life but im married and have 2 Beautiful (step) daughters and i’m now establishing myself as an up and coming photographer.

I’ve never been more grateful for where i am now and the life i’m living.

It just goes to show you that no matter how far down you go….you can ALWAYS come back up and i’m so THANKFUL that my family never gave up on me.

One day when im on @therootsofambition podcast i’ll tell you more 🤣🤣✌🏾 by @uncle_buddha_
