All up and down my timeline I see folks wanting Lisa Bonet to appear in season 2 of A Different World. But is that something we collectively deserve? Yall gonna clown her for aging like yall did Jasmine? by @unclegriotchronicles

40 years ago i watched a woman embody 5 different characters of her own making and for an hour I was mesmerized by her performance. Tonight I get to watch 5 amazing Blacktresses reimagine a show that helped shape their careers. #whoopiegoldberg #whoopimonologues Thank you to my wonderful husband Jarrett Nolan for this early Birthday present. Ok let's get this show on the road!!!!! taken in Lincoln Center Theater by @unclegriotchronicles

"Before the world blows" by Erykah Badu and The Alchemist dropped almost 24 hours ago. Its been 16 years since Erykah's last album and I was very excited to see what my girl had been up to. Erykah had always been clear that she is an Artist not just a musician and if you have followed her career you understand what that means. She is ever evolving and ever growing and ever trying.
So Before the world blows is very artist.. the best way for me to describe it is if fir an hour you are dropped into Erykah's stream of consciousness while she performs at a high end spoken word event with a jazz band and a few special guest stars who stop to share a thought. Sometimes those sharing thoughts are in tune with the stream and sometimes it's a peanut butter and mustard sandwich.
This is not a beginning middle and end. If you put your player on repeat you will never know when the album begins and ends. Its not bad if you want something on in the background while you do laundry or you are meditating to commute with your great grandmother's spirit.
In the three times I listened to it there were only four songs I recognized when they came back around. Witch Doctor, Love me not, Breezy, and Black Box. The rest...well I am going to stuck to what I like. But I implore any and all fans to give it a listen and see for yourself. Of her 6 studio albums (I am not including But you Caint use my phone or the live album) this will compete with Worldwide Underground for my bottom spot. Again this is just my opinion and I will be just as anxious to see what her next album sounds like in 2040.... by @unclegriotchronicles

I decided to rewatch the first season of A Different World. I have not watched this since it originally aired back in the 80s. Its great seeing half the cast of In Living Color on here but this writing.... this episode of Denise having an inappropriate crush on her teacher.... creepy. Who wrote this??!! by @unclegriotchronicles
