🤩 Faculty Highlight 🤩

Join us in congratulating Moe Manshad, Associate Professor of Computer Information Systems, on receiving the Sears Helgoth Distinguished Teaching Award! 🏆

Even more remarkable, he is the first faculty member in MCB history to receive this honor. 🎉

"My courses are built around productive friction. Students work problems out loud before they touch a keyboard, and they have to explain why an answer is right, not just produce one. That is uncomfortable in the moment, and it is where the learning actually happens. Having the university recognize that approach tells my students the difficulty was the point."

Congratulations, Dr. Manshad, on this well-deserved recognition and your commitment to creating meaningful learning experiences for students. 👏

What does it really take to start a business?

On Friday, our students got to ask that question directly to Nate Frary & Julianna Follon of @edisonsicecream. From lessons learned to challenges faced and opportunities seized, students heard the kind of insights you can only get from real conversations with real entrepreneurs.

That's what Fireside Chat is all about. 🔥

It’s an incredibly important skill to be able to work in a team with limited resources and limited time. We think our MCB freshman are well on their way to being excellent communicators and team members! #Noco #fyp #UNCO #Greeley #Colorado by @unco_mcb
