2026. Lower Manhattan, just off Bowery. It's been months of churn and paperwork and the humiliation ritual that is crowdfunding. We've been out in the weeds, man! There's one saving grace — and it's a big one: YES. Every step of the way, we've been met with Yes. Yes, your show sounds lovely and we happen to have a slot right at the start of our season. Yes, you can crash at my place. Yes, I believe in you, and all I have is $50 to pitch in but that's a YES. Yes, we see the vision, AND... Somehow, we built a portal from a magical room in the East Village to a magical house in the San Fernando Valley. We time traveled, leaping decades from the shores of Michigan to Venice Beach to a bedside in Northridge. We VOTED. And we shattered. And we started to heal, just a little bit. Last night, something happened in that room. And it happened tonight, too. And it will only happen a few more times. Don't miss it. La MaMa presents UNCONDITIONAL, a new musical memoir by Margot Rose, October 15-25, at the La MaMa Theatre Club 74 E 4th, St, New York, NY 10003 Tickets at lamama.org by @unconditionalmusical
